With commanding views of Italy’s legendary Lake Garda, the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence-winning Hotel Olivi Thermae & Natural Spa, on the Sirmione peninsula, begins the inspiration as soon as you arrive. Here, you can simply relax and recharge, whether that’s by admiring the uplifting scenery or splashing out on the naturally rejuvenating treatments on offer in the spa, which is fed by the world-famous Sirmione thermal waters.
Big blue awnings shade the private balcony of your room if the sun gets too much, but we think you won’t want to take your eyes off the awe-inspiring vistas. Closer to home, you can wander through the ancient olive trees in the gardens or lounge with a good book on a sofa in one of numerous terraces and lounges. Ristorante Degli Olivi offers healthy fare alongside indulgent Italian dishes, covering all your hunger bases.
Individually decorated in understated romantic fashion, Classic rooms are homey and comfortable. En-suite bathrooms come with a tub or shower, vanity set, hair dryer, robe and slippers.
Ristorante Degli Olivi is open year-round and offers fine Italian and international dining in elegant surroundings, complemented by an extensive wine list. Two additional restaurants are only open in the summer months.
The Natural Spa is a destination in itself, with a swimming pool fed by the Sirmione thermal waters, sitting at an inviting 36 degrees. The indoor saltwater pool enjoys the same balmy temperature, and there’s also a sauna and steam bath. Massages with essences of your choice, from white musk to chocolate, are among the treatments on offer.
The main draw here is experiencing the curative properties of the thermal waters of Sirmione, but there’s much more to enjoy. Wander the narrow streets of Sirmione’s old town, with its quaint shops, or visit the Grottoes of Catallus close by. Golf lovers will be pleased to know that the hotel offers discounts to the nearby Arzaga and Chervo golf clubs. There are numerous tours that can be arranged from the hotel. The closest is a visit to the Verona Amphitheater, one of the greatest and best conserved Roman monuments. Or you could go to Venice, take a coach tour along the Gardesana (one of Europe’s most impressive roads), embark on a twilight Lake Garda cruise on a wooden ketch, savor the region’s bounty with a wine tour – the list goes on…
How to Get There
The hotel is very good. If you decide to take a room jus with a lake view
Take a room with a spa entrance. Great pools.
Nice room. Very clean.
Nice breakfast. No vegetables.
My new wife and I stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon. It was a fantastic hotel with a great room and very friendly staff. The breakfast was superb. We had a wonderful perk when we arrived, the hotel gave us a free spa access as it was our honeymoon. The spa was gorgeous and it made our stay feel special.
Sirmione firstly is a lovely resort. Busy and full of atmosphere. We spent a week in this hotel and couldn't fault it. Staff wonderful especially the young guys in the restaurant. They were very pleasant and mannerly. Breakfast had a great choice and coffee was very good. The evening meal was excellent and we decided to eat there every night. Only thing I found unusual was that the vegetables are served buffet style and therefore cold. Other than that I couldn't fault it - I had fish most nights and it was delicious. We opted for a lake view room which was fabulous and spotless. If I returned to his resort again I would definitely stay in this hotel.
