Overview

Incredible four-star spa hotel in Tuscany, with natural hot springs, discounts, breakfast and optional dinner

The Lowdown

Hotel Helvetia Thermal Spa celebrates the Tuscan region’s natural hot springs and dedication to wellness with an outstanding spa centre. In fact, wellness is a theme flowing throughout the four-star hotel’s facilities, with service that turns hospitality into an art form.
Feeling good and enjoying the finer things in life are beautifully married in the restaurant, where you can try out some of the gorgeous dishes for which Tuscan cuisine is famous in the courtyard setting. Enjoy a lighter meal at the Helvetia Club, where you’ll also have a choice of spectacular cocktails and delicious wines on the terrace.
Of course, this is as much a spa centre as it is a hotel, so packing your swimsuit is a must if you intend to enjoy this natural aqua wonderland, enriched with thermal waters. The hammam, saunas, thermal water pool with its own waterfall, and a Jacuzzi are among some of the facilities to enjoy before you even think about leaving the hotel.

Great value spa stay

We stayed 4 nights on a half board basis. The spa was great, hotel rooms ok, and dinner very good. Staff were helpful and friendly. The air con wasn’t working in our rooms 1 day, but on reporting it an engineer was called and it was sorted out. The small town has bars and restaurants we used for lunch and aperitivos, but English wasn’t spoken often so our miming skills were put to the test!

incredible spot ion earth - right place - right price
incredibly charming. What we loved about Awesome hotel were the exceptional staff and service. The staff were warm and accommodating to our requests. We were treated very well.

The location is a bit far from the normal scene of tourism and this make it even more charming.

Center of town location is ideal if traveling by train.

We had a sixth floor room which was larger than most and very nice. The spa is beautiful and provides a variety of services. Many Italians travel to this hotel just for the spa. The hotel is located next to the outdoor theater that is used for many music events. So if there is music, you will hear it in your room until it ends (around 2AM?) Best to just purchase tickets and enjoy the music under the stars. Internet access is a problem on the upper floors, so you may have to go to the ground level or first floor bar area to get service. Parking is offsite and requires about a three block walk. Best to unload your bags by the entrance to the hotel (some temporary parking is available), then get a remote for the parking garage and park your car.

Lovely hotel with wonderful spa area

We have just spent 2 days here and were very impressed.
The hotel has had a recent makeover with well appointed rooms and a wonderful spa area, one of the best we have ever seen.
The room is spotlesely clean with a huge bed and excellent quality linen and towels. A great touch is the specific ' spa ' bag including extra towels flip flops and body scrubbers.
The bathroom is huge by modern standards with an enormous bath.
The spa area is a real highlight with various sauna Jacuzzi and wellness treatments. All contained in a very interesting almost grotto like area.
The food and drinks are not to excessive for this quality of hotel and the restaurant is excellent.
The breakfast was surprisingly varied and good quality.
Overall I can not real fault the hotel and would highly recommend for a great leisure break.
