On the Malay Peninsula, 120 miles south of Bangkok, V Villas Hua Hin is a luxe resort where each of the 13 villas has a private pool and butler service comes standard. The brainchild of celebrated Parisian architects J&H Boiffils, this sleek retreat is inspired by the geometric shapes of rice paddies and the bold lines of Italian palazzos. The spacious one- and two-bedroom villas occupy lush beachside plots and are decked out with wood floors and Midcentury-style furniture, and they all feature modern kitchens and Bose entertainment systems. The bathrooms are finished in honey-colored marble and have walk-in rain showers and Jacuzzis. Named the best restaurant in Thailand in Thai Tatler’s 2013 guide, Villazzo serves an appealing mishmash of Thai and Italian cuisine and an impressive selection of wines. The property can arrange activities such as an elephant ride through a local vineyard, or a guided hike to the nearby Pala U waterfall. Or you can de-stress with a soothing Thai Boran Herbal Compress and accompanying massage at V Spa.
In the Area
Hua Hin became popular in the 1920s as a weekend escape for the Thai royal family. Its three-mile white sand beach is perfect for swimming, kayaking or horseback riding, while the town itself is renowned for its wide variety of upscale seafood restaurants. The resort’s concierge will help you set up an excursion to Hua Hin Hills Vineyard or an elephant tour of Kaeng Krachan National Park, where you can visit a pineapple plantation, hike a nature trail and bathe in Pala U waterfall’s crystalline waters. Back at the resort, make a beeline for the poolside restaurant, Villazzo, where you can take a Thai cooking class from award-winning local chefs.
How to Get There
My partner and I stayed at the V Villas over 4 nights last week. We arrived form bangkok after a 4 hour road trip and pulled up into the drive way, and were greeted with cold towels. Check in was a breeze and we were swiftly whisked to the villa with our butler, Anna. She walked us through to the villa and introduced the room amenities. A bottle of complimentary wine was offered to us as well as a platter of welcome fruits, a letter and two teddies. Before Anna left, we told her that my partner had a wound on her knee caps and asked if it was possible to get a big floatie.
There's complimentary cocktails at the pool on Fri and Sats, 5 to 6pm, an array of alcoholic beverages as well as fingerfood served by the beach. We spent our first evening having dinner at Villazzo which we found that the basil pork rice to be too salty, informed the staff and promptly had it removed from our bill. This was a nice gesture as it shows that staff are keen to please guest, which should be a priority for all establishments.
When we returned to the villa, lo and behold! We found an cloud and rainbow floatie which Anna delivered. That is amazing considering how she exceeded our expectations and given us what we asked for. We had turn down services where the mosquito coil and outdoor candles were lighted. Facial masks were also left on our wash basins.
Throughout the stay we had all the privacy we needed and always knew that Anna would be on standby whenever we needed to reach her through out villa mobile phone which was issued. The Villa's information and menu was also available on the ipad which may not have worked as well because there were no photo references to what you will be ordering. Bose speakers and Hermes body products. WIFI is available throughout your villa with your own personal router which promises coverage, we also had WIFI at the restaurant as well as the beach and the pool. The furnishings are not as modern but they are rather well maintained. We were also provided with daily housekeeping where they replenished all TWG teas and coffee capsules. The villa is also very close to the BluPort Shopping mall costing us about 100THB by grab where we also caught the Avengers EndGame in the cineplex. Cicada night market was also nearby at 100THB.
All in all, this was a superb stay with V Villas and the staying experience was definitely enriched with our Villa Bulter, Anna. We are blown away with all the hospitality we received and will surely return again :)
We have checked in during Easter time. For me and my wife, the type of resort may not be ideal for couple to enjoy quiet and romantic timing.
The facility beach, swimming pool is very nice and breakfast have lots of option but the following area need to be improve.
When we checked in one bedroom, we expect to have more couple in the neighbourhood. However, we have experience many children screaming in the pool side bar and even when we relax in our own villa.
When we fill an complaint to butler and concierge, the response is slow and the noise is still there. We hope the management team could further improve how to better manage the situation.
Stayed here with friends in 2 bedroom villa,
It was an absolutely relaxing & luxurious stay amazing villas, service & food, the location all perfect in the center of of hua hin .
What else do you need!
Will be back soon!
It is always a treat to come here. Especially with friends. Their two/three bedroom villas are perfect to spend time with a small group of friends. They have recently done some minor renovations just to keep up to date. Its a beautiful property but sets it apart is my butler. K. Pai the butler has looked after me a few stays. He really goes beyond of what is required and ensure we are looked after every step. We went out for water activity and found on our return the bath tubs to be filled and warm. K. Pai is extremely polite and courteous. He really should be commended for providing the party and myself such service. He always recognise me even with my absence from the property for a few years. Amazing. I hope he gets all the commandment he deserves!
For family intended to have a really good rest and bonding, this is a perfect place. The villa with pool has nice space inside, and the living room is comfortable for family activities and the selection for food for dining inside the hotel is rich and in general, all cooked quite well so there is really no big reason to go outside the hotel - unless for exploring local lives. The room is comfortable, well connected, and just steps away from the sand beach which occasionally can see people riding the horse on the beach, we did not try. Day time in Thailand in any month can be quite hot, but there is a pool inside the private villa, and there is a pool right next to the beach.
