Despite the curious name, the Rest Detail Hotel offers the best of both worlds: proximity to Hua Hin’s markets and attractions, as well as a chilled-out vibe. The guest rooms are quite large, ranging from one to four bedrooms and are tricked out with niceties such as iPods and free beach accessories like a beach bag for guests to use during their stay. The spa offers a comprehensive menu of Asian healing rituals, and two restaurants serve a mix of Western, Mediterranean, and Thai fare in indoor and outdoor settings. There’s also an espresso bar and program that lets guests arrange private dinners in various corners of the romantic resort.
In the Area
About three hours by car from Bangkok, Hua Hin has long been the holiday retreat for Thailand’s royal family, as well as the city’s elites and international tourists. The resort town’s attractions include the PlearnWan vintage market and Hua Hin Night Market, plus the Klai Kangwon Palace, a 1929 Spanish-style palace that’s still the King’s summer residence. (It’s invitation-only, but you can still admire the exterior.) Hua Hin is also a premier golf destination for Thai’s and visitors to the country, and the hotel concierge can arrange tee times and transportation to eight nearby courses.
How to Get There
After a problematic start. Weve settled in well. Its clean and contemporary. The meals are affordable and freshly prepared. Theres a choice of restaurants and bars offering a selection of local and international drinks. Great for famillies with kids club pool and sand pit. All in the shaded areas. Kwan by the pool is an assest, shes pleasant informative and has a proffesional attitude. Annnan and Cumkoy in Reef restaurant are amazing in their attention to detail and help when ordering meals and wine. This place is central for markets and transport can be arranged at front desk to tourist spots. Theres amenities in the hotel if you choose to relax. X
Had an excellent vacation here. The staff is very nice and courteous, they always had a smile and were willing to help.
We had the pool villa suite and it was also very nice.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone
This is our second stay at the hotel. We chose the Pool village room which has direct access to the swimming pool. Each room of this room type is a bungalow seperating from other rooms so there is a lot of privacy. The room is big with very big king-size bed. The direct access to the pool is quite safe for young kids as there is shallow water right next to the room balcony before the normal pool depth. We took the JBL clock/radio/speaker provided by the hotel to play music at the balcony while we were playing in the swimming pool and it was kind of 'cool' feeling.
The hotel's breakfast is not bad but also not very good.
The hotel were busy preparing for the wedding at the beach during our stay. Too bad we checked out before the wedding so we didn't get to see the wedding!!
