Overview

A tranquil, five-star hideaway on the beach, including a villa with a Jacuzzi and an optional plunge pool

The Lowdown

Transformed from a quiet fishing village into a buzzing seaside resort, Thailand’s charming Hua Hin has long since proven itself as a dreamy beach-escape destination – even Thai royalty made their summer residences here in the 1920s. Today, its white stretch of sand is studded with seafood sellers and watersports centers, while the city itself offers vibrant markets and a distinctly cosmopolitan vibe.
Putahracsa Hua Hin is set right on the beach, offering direct access to Hua Hin’s much-loved shoreline. An attractive, low-rise resort, Putahracsa is built around calming water features, with some villas featuring their own private pools, while others feature outdoor Jacuzzis, for a truly secluded experience. The spa makes an excellent post-flight pit stop, while the oceanside restaurant and bar affords ample opportunities for sundown cocktails and dreamy dinners overlooking the beach. And should you feel like exploring Hua Hin, the hotel’s tuk tuk service makes it easy to venture out.

Villas

Oceanbed villas with an outdoor Jacuzzi are situated on the upper floors of the hotel. Each is decorated to a chic modern standard and comes complete with a king-size bed, an outdoor seating area and an outdoor Jacuzzi. Oceanbed Pool villas are located on the ground floor and also feature a king-size bed and an outdoor Jacuzzi, as well as a large private pool and a furnished terrace.

Dining

Sala Monsoon offers both breakfast and lunch in a relaxed environment, with an outdoor seating area shaded by umbrellas. Oceanside Restaurant and Beach club is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and occupies a scenic spot right by the beach. The open-air design lets the views do the talking, which are best enjoyed chilled on a throw cushion, cocktail in hand. There’s also an Oceanside Beach Bar, and Ob-Oon, a modern café serving baked delights, coffees and teas.

Spa

The hotel’s spa is a welcoming space that invites utter relaxation. Take some time out over a body massage or treatment, or revitalize with a facial. Waxing is also available, alongside hand and foot care. There’s also a small gym, with Technogym cardio machinery.

Location

Putahracsa is situated in central Hua Hin, within walking distance of the night market and easy reach of the city’s attractions. A tuk tuk service is available to nearby destinations, making it easy to get around. There’s plenty to do in the area, including golf, bird-watching, eco-tours and mountain biking. Nearby Vic Hua Hin is a hub of activity, with art galleries, theaters and restaurants, while the Monsoon Valley Vineyard is a real draw for wine enthusiasts.

A Wonderful relaxing resort
Reviewed 5 days ago

We stayed Feb19 for 7 nights in a Sandside ground level room with direct access out to the lovely pool. The room was very spacious and comfortable, well maintained and cleaned daily. The resort staff throughout were available if required but not intrusive, overall providing an excellent service from reception, pool attendants, restaurant chef/staff, grounds people etc. Breakfast was excellent. We rate this the most relaxing resort we have stayed in Thailand (our 8th visit)

Fantastic hotel and top rate spa service.

We stayed at this hotel in late December 2018,and all i can say is that it was the most pleasant holiday hotel I have ever stayed in Thailand, the staff are super friendly, the rooms are clean and are cleaned perfectly everyday, great pool complex, and the relaxing massage spa they have is excellent, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to holiday in Hua Hin.

Very friendly boutique hotel

We stayed here for 7 nights and had two ocean villas with jacuzzi (although my son moved to a villa with a pool because of a lizard - too long a story to share now!). The staff were so lovely and helpful. Every day we were greeted warmly and had conversations with all staff from housekeeping to reception staff. Fon and Oh on reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful and Chum looked after our rooms. We preferred the breakfast buffet to the A la carte option and there was plenty of choice. The sun-loungers near the pool were the perfect way to spend a couple of hours and near enough to the bar if you were thirsty. The vibe was very relaxing and it helped that the hotel wasn't too large. The doorman helped us everyday to cross over the road to the other side of the hotel and was charming. The location of the hotel was perfect, near enough to the town but away from the noise. The hotel had a tuk tuk which we used every day to take us to town.

Must dos - night market, cooking classes and the Spa.

Our stay was just perfect and we were very sorry to leave!

PROS
Beautifully designed hotel.
Clean and well maintained rooms.
Staff are friendly and very helpful.
Excellent breakfast and onsite restaurants
The bar/restaurant area is stunning, very cool place to chill at night.
Location is good, close enough to the action but quiet at the same time. It's a 5-10 minute walk (or take the free tuktuk service) to the centre.

On the downside the 3 swimming pools are very cold, which isn't very suitable for young kids. I'd also say the ambience of the hotel in general is more suited to couples rather than families. Lastly the beach at the hotel is only accessible in the evening when its low tide.

Amazing!!

Everything is more than OK, large bedroom with a great bed, excellent shower provided with shampoo, conditioner en soap , good cleaning of the room. Very good breakfast with fresh bread, fruit, yoghurt, it was even possible to make your own fruit or vergetable smoothie. The pool is very nice with a lots of sunbeds, there was service at the pool, you could order food and beverage from a small menu. Every two hours they brought you some cold water and once a day a little snack. The staff is very friendly en helpfull. The place is very quiet and peacefull. Location of hotel is good, night market, bars en shops within walking distance. Good experience!
