Enjoy the soft light and elegantly faded details of Porto from the panoramic rooftop and comfortable interiors of the Premium Porto Downtown. Relax and recharge in bright, modern rooms with all the facilities and personal attention you would expect from a four star hotel. Premium Porto Downtown features charming contemporary details throughout, fluffy bathrobes, marble-detailed bathrooms, and a spacious, stylish sun terrace.
The excellent, central location in the historic centre of Porto means you are in walking distance of the best of the city; blue azulejo facades of ancient towers, churches, and train stations, restaurants and cafes where you can sample traditional Portuguese fare – don’s miss the custard tarts and Francesinha, Porto’s famous beefed (or sausaged!) up Croque-Monsieur. Winding through the centre, the mighty Douro river and its Eiffel-esque Dom Luis I Bridge connect you to the famous Port wine cellars and the delicious tastings within.
How to Get There
This hotel is centrally located in Downtown Porto close to 3 metro stations and most of the sights to down town Porto. Not even a 5 min walk to Igeja de S.Ildefonso and a 10 min walk to Place Da Liberdade. What I really loved about this hotel is how close it was to so many restaurants and how easy it was to find from our Metro at 9pm at night. The staff met us with a great welcoming and nothing is too much for them to assist with. The Breakfast is great and continental with amazing cappucinnos. The beds are amazing and bathrooms are new and amazing. The rooms are always clean and after a long day of sight seeing, it is a great experience to fall into a clean bed!
A lovely hotel with great staff, from check in to check out the staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb with a good varied selection of hot and cold food. Philippa was outstanding at breakfast, going about her duties diligently, we were a group of four with strange and varied drink requests ,she remembered them daily even though it was very busy. The roof top was a lovely spot for a coffee or drink with great views over the city and sunset with a nice touch of very attentive staff ready to serve your needs. There is a very good fish restaurant nearby(that also does a great steak). We did not eat in the restaurant but the food looked superb .This hotel will be our preferred base on our next Porto trip. I had an odd drink and chatted to the bar staff who not only remembered my drink told me how much they enjoyed their job.The staff were a credit to themselves and the hotels management.
We again booked the hotel and didn’t know what we were getting, but were very fortunate in choosing a good one. It is in an area that is not too far from any of the important places to visit. The hotel staff were so helpful were treated like valued customers so thank you to the front of house staff. On our last night the hotel put on a celebratory Woman’s Day menu in the restaurant, which we took advantage of, and thank you Danielle for making the meal and atmosphere one to enjoy. Would def stay here again.
My husband and I recently stayed here for two nights and it was a great experience.
Thiago at the front desk welcomed us warmly and helped us with a number of questions throughout our stay. The rooms themselves were very comfortable with huge bathrooms. They also had a lot of thoughtful elements—the two curtains overlapped rather than just meeting in the little so they blocked a time of light and you could control ALL of the lights from next to your bed so you didn’t have to get up.
The location had its pros and cons. It wasn’t far from the major sights but coming back was uphill which was tiring. However, there were lots of great restaurants and bars nearby where you were surrounded by locals, not tourists, but did have English-speaking staff. The restaurant right around the corner (something Doce?) had enormous breakfasts for 3-5 euros and it was easy to navigate just in English. Gazela, a few blocks away, was packed and for good reason.
All in all, I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is near the center. 5 minutes walking.
I think it's fairly new so all the amenities are perfect.
They speak all the languages at the reception and they are quite helpful.
We didnt try the breakfast.
