Overview

Lakeside fun and mountainside adventure at a family-owned B&B - includes a dining voucher

The Lowdown

The only thing Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Resort overlooks, management likes
to say, is the water. Every detail here is thoughtfully placed to ensure
that your stay is enjoyable and that you get everything you want out of
your stay in this region. Sleep in one of the TripAdvisor Certificate
of Excellence winner’s comfortable rooms, sample its complimentary
breakfast, or stop at the restaurant for a filling lunch or dinner, set
to those stunning Lake Wallenpaupack views.
In the evening hours,
hit the late-night pub for cocktails, trivia and live music; the rest
of the time, explore greater Hawley. Given its location, the property
offers some of its own activities, like shuffleboard, paddle-boating and
canoeing in the warmer months, but it’s the Poconos that keep the fun
going year-round. Ice-fish, ski, sled or snowshoe in the winter, or hike
and bike to the top the mountain trails in spring, summer and fall.
Speaking of overlooks, you’re in for some of the best views in
Pennsylvania.

Rooms and suites

With contemporary furnishings and views
of the peaceful surrounding landscape, your accommodation at Ehrhardt’s
Waterfront Resort is a welcoming retreat after your days of mountain and
lake adventure. It’s stocked with all the necessities you’ll need
during your stay, like a small refrigerator, microwave and flat-screen
TV, as well as air-conditioned. Choose the Standard room for two double
beds, or upgrade to the king suite for more space and a king bed.

Dining

A
popular spot among the locals, with its dock-and-dine options,
Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Restaurant is perfect for when you who want to
kick back and relax over stunning lakeside views, enjoy a casual
atmosphere and sample from an extensive menu. From sandwiches and wraps
to steak and brisket, its classic American dishes are satisfying choices
at lunch or dinner; for later-evening options, the Late Night Pub Grub
features drink specials, live music and trivia nights – all just steps
from your room.

Location

From Lake Wallenpaupack
to the Pocono Mountains, this northeastern region offers adventure for
every season. Experience great downhill and cross-country skiing in the
winter, discover the beauty of spring on a hike or bike ride through the
wilderness, go trout fishing (a favorite activity among the locals), or
explore the lake and all of its adventure – including sailing, jet
skiing and swimming. Or, choose from a catalog of day trips, themed
around local festivals, food tours, entertainment and more.

We were greeted by Jenna Simpler with a warm & friendly greeting. The room was gorgeous, exceptionally clean, and had a beautiful view of the Wallenpaupack Lake. The Dock is easily accessible to enjoy great food, drinks, & entertainment.

Great getaway
Reviewed 2 months ago

We spent 2 nights in their lovely Inn 12 room. It was very spacious and clean. The living room had a breathtaking view of the lake, and the electric fireplace was a nice touch. They offered a complimentary breakfast at the nearby restaurant. The service at Silver Birches was excellent!

Amazing stay!

This boutique, quaint resort is exceptional. My parents and I stayed in a Junior Suite on the 3rd floor of the main Inn. Breath-taking view of the lake, two large rooms and a modern upscale bathroom. The staff accommodated all of our requests - provided a microwave and a kettle for our room. There was a complimentary campaign toast around sunset. The fire pit was lit all night outside by the lit Christmas tree. The common living room was warm and cozy with a fireplace, decorated with an exquisite taste. Just a wonderful experience. I'll attach pictures.

Great day trip with the grandkids
Reviewed 3 months ago

We stayed at the Ledges but took the opportunity to purchase a day pass for ourselves and the three grandchildren. A perfect day helped, so we spent several hours in and out of the pool and walking the grounds. My 13-year old and I took kayaks out on a choppy lake and had a great view--mostly of boats tied to the many docks. It's hard to find any "open" coastline on this lake.

Very slow pace

There is lots of wasted time between activities. You had coffee and cake upon arrival. About 45 minutes you make a pretzel. Another 30 minutes until lunch is served. Dancing music is played during almost all the time other than lunch. There is a long stretch until the entertainment starts. Needs some more activities added in to fill the void.
