Plush cliffside resort with jaw-dropping suites overlooking tropical rainforest and the Andaman Sea
Built into the Kamala cliffs and looking out toward the sea, Paresa Resort blends so well into the surroundings it feels like a secret sanctuary. The architecture, inspired by traditional southern Thai homes, features authentic arts and crafts throughout. Native wood floors and local stone contrast with tech-savvy touches such as touchscreen lighting and high-quality audio in the living areas and terrace — even the pool.
Bed and Bath
Cliffside luxury continues in the 49 contemporary guestrooms and private villas, each of which has a spacious veranda and 270-degree sunset views. Some come with their own private infinity pool or plunge pool. All have indoor and outdoor showers, and the Dima Spa Suite has its own private steam room. Aqua Suites are an enormous 1,600 square feet, while the Cielo Residences are like private manors, at a mighty 7,100 square feet, and come with 24-hour butler service.
Paresa’s three restaurants, all with ocean views (of course), match the accommodations in wow factor. Diavolo serves up Italian fusion dishes, Talung Thai is an alfresco spot high atop the cliffs, and Recipe is a wonderfully intimate private dining room that hosts traditional Thai cooking classes and private dinner parties. You can stretch out on a lounger by the impressive infinity pool (or down at the Beach Club) and watch the sun set over the Andaman Sea, or indulge in a treatment on a private balcony at the spa.
