The Lowdown

The majestic colonial-style building of the Henry Hotel, complemented by gardens of swaying vines and lush foliage, offer an entrance into an eclectic oasis, hidden from the busy streets of Manila.
Here, furnishing and fixtures have been meticulously curated by creative minds, resulting in a marriage of classic grandeur and fascinating modernity. Outside, you’ll find manicured shrubbery fringing stately buildings, before stepping into a colourful interior of patterns. You can see different aspects of Manila’s culture with the hotel’s design. Explore and you’ll find quirky elements of design throughout the space. For example, at the hotel’s restaurant, Apartment 1B, vintage tile patterns and coloured glass windows contrast with the sleek gold divider of the lobby. The rooms are equally fascinating and are, of course, cosy and comfortable. Think plush fabrics and bright, airy spaces.
Centrally located, the hotel is just the place to start your Manila adventure. With a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and a Travellers’ Choice Award in the bag, the hotel definitely won’t disappoint.

Quiet haven in the city
Reviewed 2 days ago

It’s a compound of period houses turned into a hotel. The mature trees and the native bushes make the property seems to sit in a middle of a tropical rainforest! It’s a a beautiful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff is very friendly and accomodating - and they know much about the history of the place! There’s a little furniture shop and an art gallery at the back - you’ll find re-purposed/restored period pieces.

By far the best hotel we stayed in whilst staying and traveling around the Philippines. The grounds were beautiful and so well kept, I like how secure the premises was and how every staff member was so polite and could not do enough for you. Will definitely return to this hotel

A haven of peace in the chaotic Manila

Wonderful hotel located in the heart of Manila, peaceful place, with a good restaurant and comfortable rooms. The garden makes you feel far away from the crazy city, while being in the very center. Totally recommended. We will go back here next time for sure!

Except for RALPH and MARK

The distinctive character and traits of this post colonial hotel in the heart of Pasay gives undoubted color to reverberate in your inner soul and would boost the very Filipino upper cultural pride in you... A heritage where you could truly say that the creative dimensions of the Filipino minds are alive. From its floors to ceilings, it's authentic cultural pieces could very well be explained by RYAN. There was this girl also whom i have forgotten the name that gave the best Filipino hospitality apt for the pristine hotel. While Ralph, their front desk officer and Mark, a mere waiter scoffs and mocks Filipino guests who from their point of view are not wealthy. They are at their best if they are in front of foreigners or uber wealthy Filipinos. I am not ashamed of their rudeness since i am not wealthy. I am proud to have known that their discrimination is so potent even The Henry Hotel Manila has its own.

Did not feel like I was in Manila

Treated my husband for his birthday. From Security to the Hotel Staff, everyone knew our names and were very accomodating.

The food in Aparment B1 was worth it for its price. The crew were alert eveb if we were outside.

We enjoyed the pool area and also the stores within the compound.
