An upscale beach vibe pervades this villa resort in Khao Lak, a paradisiacal stretch of Andaman coastline about 65 miles north of Phuket. Guests sprawl out in spacious villas equipped with private gardens, plunge pools and butler services. When you tire of all that luxury, snag a lounge chair at the outdoor pool overlooking the Andaman Sea or head to the rooftop bar for a cocktail and panoramic views of Khao Lak. On-site restaurants satisfy practically any craving: You can feast on Indian food at Kuk Kak, tuck into Italian classics at Mosaic, sample the four distinct types of Thai cuisine at Baan Thai, or get your fill of fresh seafood at Bamboo, a beachfront grill shaded by palm trees.
In the Area
No one would blame you for spending every single day in Khao Lak at the beach. The quieter, family-friendly answer to raucous Phuket has more than 15 miles of the stunning jungle-meets-water coastline that made Thai beaches famous in the first place. Spend your days checking out the various white sands, borrow a bike from the hotel to tool around town, or book a round at the nearby Tublamu golf course. Whatever you do, make time to watch the sunset: All of the beaches face west.
How to Get There
Not to recommend due to sanitarian facialities in room, coupled with threatening and rude behaviour of club director which upset me and some of the reception staff who also behaved rudely - very poor overall. Toilet spilled over. I was threatened by “chief technician” who accused me of causing trouble. Very disappointed by club management locally and toilet facilities - not to recommend!
If you want to stay in one spot , have all your food paid for , and are happy not to be the centre of attention then come here
Full of German people ( no issue here) but caters the that market 100%
Australians are room fillers !! To help balance the books
Not worth it better around
I arrived today and am shocked that this is supposed to be 5 star. Not only that, when I complained about the standard of our room, the guest relations manager told me that American and Australian guests have all been happy with this room so he could not understand why we (South Africans) we’re unhappy with the room grade. This is not acceptable. I feel like I have been attacked for my nationality.
The hotel and room don’t look anything like the website. There are pools of dirty water in the garden, the walls in the room are bubbling with damp and the garden is untended. The main restaurant is like an army canteen.
We were offered an alternative room that looked slightly better but smelled damp and musty. I requested a refund and to leave.
We are hoping to get a refund so that we can leave as soon as possible.
Visit Robinson KL this November 22 until December 3. I travelled by myself just to rest. Did not excepting so much but turns out 12 days with Robinson was most relaxing at the same time exciting.
Verity of food they offer in main restaurant, Baan Thai restaurant, selection of drinks in bar, sunset in bamboo. It was perfect to chilling and treating myself. Every day club has different kind of show for us even.
As well nature over there was something wow me such as tons of squirrel, different type of birds come to say hi to my room balcony. You can just see them right in front of you.
Staff were friendly and amazing as well. Mr. Richard from FB was extraordinary with amazing smile always.
Would love to go back soon. Maybe on March 2019. Can not wait!
We traveled here late October with a 7 month old for 10 nights. We were slightly worried by some of the reviews however once we got here we realised we needn’t worry. Our room was large and clean, the bathroom had a shower and a bathtub which some other newer properties didn’t have for the same price. The resort itself was quite large and there were a lot of people, however we never had trouble getting a sunbed. We spent most of the days going from the beach to the pool in between meals and cocktails. The main pool was large and kid friendly, yet also being able to sneak away to the adults only pool was a nice treat. Being on full board meant we didn’t have to worry at all about what we were going to eat. There was so much variety and every day we tried something new (hubby was obsessed with the fresh breads). I especially appreciated the healthy food options. They made a huge effort on Halloween and some of the other more special nights, and we also enjoyed the night food markets. Wines that were included were cheap but still tasty, the staff were always friendly and helpful and got along well with our Bub. Yes the sunbeds did have mould on them as they always got rained on in Thailand however, they provide ample towels so you can easily cover it up. The fitness timetable was great being able to do yoga and Pilates (even if mostly in German), hubby also enjoyed his stand up paddle boarding. The kids club was cute however catering more to older kids (4+). Lastly, the beach was beautiful, both clean and swimable. Everyday we looked forward to sundowners by the beach with live music or a dj, the sunsets were gorgeous. Overall this was a perfect holiday when travelling with a baby.
P.s. if you Arrive late in the night they do provide some food for you. Similarly if you have to leave early in the morning.
