An upscale beach vibe pervades this villa resort in Khao Lak, a paradisiacal stretch of Andaman coastline about 65 miles north of Phuket. Guests sprawl out in spacious villas equipped with private gardens, plunge pools and butler services. When you tire of all that luxury, snag a lounge chair at the outdoor pool overlooking the Andaman Sea or head to the rooftop bar for a cocktail and panoramic views of Khao Lak. On-site restaurants satisfy practically any craving: You can feast on Indian food at Kuk Kak, tuck into Italian classics at Mosaic, sample the four distinct types of Thai cuisine at Baan Thai, or get your fill of fresh seafood at Bamboo, a beachfront grill shaded by palm trees.
In the Area
No one would blame you for spending every single day in Khao Lak at the beach. The quieter, family-friendly answer to raucous Phuket has more than 15 miles of the stunning jungle-meets-water coastline that made Thai beaches famous in the first place. Spend your days checking out the various white sands, borrow a bike from the hotel to tool around town, or book a round at the nearby Tublamu golf course. Whatever you do, make time to watch the sunset: All of the beaches face west.
How to Get There
Luxury Escape holiday from 11th May to 19th May 2019.First I want to mention Marcus the Assistant General Manager. He was always available to talk to, spent lots of time with guests and was very helpful. A credit to Robinson Club. The food was excellent, lots of it with great variety, well prepared and well presented. Both red and white wines were also plesent at meal times. I found the property a little tired but it was still a great stay and comfortable. Had read many reports of large German influence. I found this not to be the case and the people we met were very nice and friendly. The swimming pools were just beautiful and the water very warm. The only thing I would say was disappointing was the golf Putt Putt. It was just plain concrete where if some grass matting was used it would make for a nice experience.
We have only good things to say about our recent family holiday.
Coming from Australia we have booked a Luxury Escapes Package. It included all meals, airport transfers and a massage each.
The resort is beautiful, pools for all age groups and they have loads of amazing facilities.
We arrived into a spotless room which was very spacious. Housekeeping was great.
All staff was super friendly and always had a smile. We had only pleasant encounters.
The food was great something for everyone‘s taste. There were many different food stations and also local food.
If someone is keen the resort offers entertainment in the evening and many different classes.
We took advantage of the kids club and babysitting here and there.
The spa was amazing, one of the best massages ever and the team was very professional.
I was a bit clumsy and broke a toe ( nothing can be done) so one of the team saw me limping and taped up my foot. Thanks Denny!! This made the travel home easier.
The club is located directly by the beach which was very nice.
The town is a bit further then we expected and taxis were a bit more then we expected. Given that we were happy to just relax that did not bother us.
This resort is highly recommended especially for families.
Beautifully manicured gardens, a superb pristine beach are what awaits you in this luxury hotel Robinson club, where the smile of the employees is permanent, the sports facilities and rooms are perfectly clean and pleasant.
The buffets, lunch, diner and breakfast are excellently presented, the food very fresh and varied from day to day.
Amazing, We will be back soon, I sincerely recommend this hotel club to everyone.
This resort is gorgeous, clean and very well organized. Our room was great, the pools were beautiful. As we were only there a short while we didn’t get to spend as much time as I hoped. The food is exceptional....
Love this destination
We are first time Robinson Club guests, travelling as a family of three adults and one child. We are currently enjoying a family room, this a two rooms with an interconnecting door very close to the lobby and main pool.
The service is friendly and efficient. The housekeeping team seeming to tame the mess we generate each day in a few minutes.
It is a family friendly resort but it is large enough that couple are able to find a suitable nook to enjoy themselves also.
We particularly enjoy the main restaurant. There are plenty of options for various tastes. The individual cooking stations provide elegant dishes over and above what is already an excellent selection from the buffet. Whilst there are healthy options available at the salad bar, the delightful feast to the eyes that is the desert station have tempted my willpower. The family have enjoyed the delicious offerings of breads and pastries. Thank to Richard the Food and Beverage Director for the warm welcome and friendly humour, thank you to all the efficient service staff who hide the evidence of overeating by taking away the plates so quickly.
We were fortunate to have a spa massage voucher for two included in our Luxury Escapes package. The massage pavilions at the Well Fit Spa are amazing. The Thai massage was wonderful. Thank you to Nang the Spa Manager for the additional gift.
Whilst the rain has limited our enjoyment of the beach, it has been passing. The enforced relaxation brought on by the rain has been much needed.
If only this was a shorter flight from NZ, then we could visit more often!
