An upscale beach vibe pervades this villa resort in Khao Lak, a paradisiacal stretch of Andaman coastline about 65 miles north of Phuket. Guests sprawl out in spacious villas equipped with private gardens, plunge pools and butler services. When you tire of all that luxury, snag a lounge chair at the outdoor pool overlooking the Andaman Sea or head to the rooftop bar for a cocktail and panoramic views of Khao Lak. On-site restaurants satisfy practically any craving: You can feast on Indian food at Kuk Kak, tuck into Italian classics at Mosaic, sample the four distinct types of Thai cuisine at Baan Thai, or get your fill of fresh seafood at Bamboo, a beachfront grill shaded by palm trees.
In the Area
No one would blame you for spending every single day in Khao Lak at the beach. The quieter, family-friendly answer to raucous Phuket has more than 15 miles of the stunning jungle-meets-water coastline that made Thai beaches famous in the first place. Spend your days checking out the various white sands, borrow a bike from the hotel to tool around town, or book a round at the nearby Tublamu golf course. Whatever you do, make time to watch the sunset: All of the beaches face west.
How to Get There
My family including my senior citizen parents stayed at this property which I can say is by far the best at Khao Lak . The property is huge with so many activities and private beach that you never get bored at all . Ms Christina at Front Desk and the head of Front Desk a Thai lady don't remember her name were very nice and made our check in and stay very comfortable . The housekeeping staff was great as the resort and rooms were very neat and clean . The facilities like the swimming pools , sauna etc etc were all upto the mark . The food was also delicious special thanks to Executive Chef Eddie and Chef Dang who took special care to provide us Vegetarian Jain Food in all meals . If you want to relax or pamper yourself or be active the full day this is the place to be . Don't miss it . Full marks to the complete team @Robinsons you guys made our holiday special . Thank you .
PS : Forgot to add that these guys have their own App which you download on your phone and all activities going on at the resort shall be available with the timings ...
Writing this months later because I just thought about the trip, and have such wonderful memories. The resort is beautiful, the beaches are amazing, the green, lush scenery is wonderful - and my favorite aspect is the friendly dogs that roam around, as I am an animal lover.
Stayed here at the end of October for 8 nights as a Luxury Escape deal. The resort is amazing. Mr Ran picked us up from the airport and chatted to us all the way there about Khao Lak and Phuket, which we appreciated - he even stopped at a 7-11 for us. We stayed in a private pool bungalow which was pretty magical. Some other reviewers have commented that the rooms can look run-down, and yes, some of it does need a bit of painting or maybe the outside walls around the resort could be power washed, but it doesn't make a huge difference. The room was fantastic and clean.
The staff are lovely and friendly. Everyone I spoke to spoke English, so no problems with the language barrier at all. Special thank you to Min and Win at the pool bar - they were lovely to talk to and made excellent drinks. Sometimes the golf carts took awhile to collect us from our rooms, but we were quite far away from reception. They even left a nice birthday card for me on my bed.
I was worried we would get bored with the buffet, but the food selections change every day and they have themed dinners too! The wine that comes with the food is a bit average - have the red and not the white.
We upgraded to have breakfast at the terrace restaurant, which was well worth it considering the champagne, bloody mary's, and the extra selection of food including hash browns and smoked salmon. There isn't much thai food available at the buffets - we went down to Khao Lak and Bang Niang to try some restaurants which were very nice. Would recommend visiting Bang Niang beach road to check out some restaurants, especially Chong Fah at the end of the road.
The pool is excellent. There are plenty of seats and plenty of towels and quite a fun slide (for kids and adults??). Beautiful beach which lots of small crabs to watch scuttling around. It may have been a bit quieter because we went in the down season. It rained briefly a couple of times a day, but when it wasn't raining it was very hot and sunny (the rain is welcome to cool it down a bit!).
They had activities on all day, which you could keep track of in their app, and heaps of things for kids to do by the looks of it. The wifi was also excellent and very reliable.
There are some dogs around but they just keep to themselves and lie in the shade. Heaps of squirrels though!! That was a surprise.
Honestly couldn't recommend staying here enough (especially with the extra inclusions). Lovely staff, wonderful food, beautiful picturesque and very relaxing setting. Excited to come back as soon as I can!
