Overview

A secluded resort, surrounded by some of Thailand’s most incredible scenery and just steps from the beach

The Lowdown

Romance is the name of the game at Mai Holiday By Mai Khao Lak, and this luxurious getaway offers the perfect setting for an enchanting escape. Located on the west coast of the Malay Peninsula, this tranquil resort is set amid lush foliage and overlooks a pristine stretch of sand. The property itself features a lagoon-like pool that meanders around the grounds, surrounded by clusters of chic guest rooms. Most importantly, the resort is adults-only, so you know you’re in for an intimate and exotic stay.
You’ll have plenty to keep you busy at this picturesque paradise. You can start your day with breakfast taken in the privacy of your own room, before heading to the large, free-form pool, where separate seating areas allow for a more intimate dip. Of course, there are tons of activities you can arrange for, such as tours of the area, authentic massage treatments or diving and watersports. Meanwhile, the rooftop restaurant provides the perfect spot for a meal at sunset, and, with beach butlers offering a menu of delicious cocktails, lounging on the sand has never felt so good.

Suites

The luxurious Deluxe suites offer plenty of space to kick back and relax. Large windows provide views of the lagoon and bring in plenty of natural light, while cool blue hues complement natural wooden tones to create a soothing atmosphere. The suites are so spacious that there’s room for a walk-in closet, a lounge with an extendable sofa and a large bathroom with a separate tub and shower.

Dining

Dine at the rooftop restaurant and bar, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Andaman Sea. Offering international cuisine and a variety of Thai flavors, this gourmet eatery is the perfect place to spend a romantic evening. If that’s not intimate enough for you, plan a private dinner on the beach with help from the staff. They’ll even craft a beautiful sand sculpture to make it a truly unforgettable experience.

Spa

Recharge your mind and body at Mind Romantic Spa. This nature-inspired sanctuary sets the mood with water features and rainforest views. Providing soothing, custom-tailored treatments, the expert therapists here will help you slip into vacation mode. If you want to stay active, there’s also an in-house gym, volleyball and tennis sessions, a yoga and boxing studio (we recommend the Thai Boxing class) and mountain bike rentals.

Location

The secluded resort is located on a quiet stretch of sand in Khao Lak, on Thailand’s east coast. Surrounded by lush greenery, the beach is relatively untouched, with white sand and beautiful, clear waters. The concierge is on hand to help organize tours of the breathtaking natural landscapes surrounding the resort.

Ideal family holiday
Reviewed 7 days ago

Having been back home a week we still can't stop thinking about an amazing time we had. The resort was great, rooms large and comfortable and pool access just ideal for our family. We stayed in the old part of the hotel which I did not mind at all because it was closer to the beach (Pakweep) which is what I wanted.. and such a beautiful clean beach as well.
A little far from markets or shops still easy enough to catch a cab from the beach to the markets or town in the evening.
All the staff are lovely and we thank you for your hospitality
We'll be back!

Amazing family holiday
Reviewed 1 week ago

On reading some of the earlier reviews we were a little apprehensive at what we had booked but needn't have worried. We had a fabulous family holiday with our son and his family. We had three poolside rooms in the older part and were very impressed. Our rooms had everything we required, fresh water and daily service. All staff were lovely and very polite. We were spoilt for choice at the buffett dinner and had amazing breakfasts - missing that beautiful fresh fruit and juices already.
The grounds and amenities were kept tidy and on going maintenance was happening while were there.
was dismayed to read a review of the slide pool having a pebble bottom and being dirty. The pool is very clean and walking on the gravel was very theraputic - there is no other product to have in that pool given the surrounding poolside is also gravel - the pool staff would be forever trying to keep gravel out of the pool if it were concrete or tile.
One of our grandchildren is coeliac which was catered for at breakfast but only the green & grill restaurant had gluten free options for other meals, although we ate at the many beachside restaurants and carried a card which was translated into Thai.
Would definitely recommend a holiday here - we loved it.

Awesome 8 days

This resort has it all for families or couples wanting a quiet get away. With so many restaurants in the resort and to the left and right of the beach, give yourself a treat and try it. The staff is so friendly and willing to help you with any request.

1 Week of Relaxation!

Awesome 8 nights stay from Mai Khaolak, by far one of our favorite places to visit for family vacation.

This place is huge with 2 big pool and 3 lobby, they have to send you with a golf car to bring you to your room which my kids love. Its hard to find someone who can speak good english, we recommend you to ask for information from Edna she works at the reception and she have a lot of information to share (plus she speak very good english).

We ate at the hotel using our meal vouchers that was included from our Luxury Package, food was good. Breakfast has a lot of variety and the best part was our free Cocktails at the Sky Bar, of course kids are at the kids club (good thing: babysit part of the luxury benefits) while parents are having a good time.

Overall stay was good. Would love to be back with friends when time permits.
