What We Love

- Cantonese culinary thrills at super-stylish restaurant The Emperor
- Being pampered in lovely spa
What To Know
- Just 15 minutes from the capital, Kuala Lumpur
- Sweeping views from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the guestrooms
- Popular hotel for business travelers
As SouthEast Asia’s rising star, Malaysia wows with colonial architecture, rolling green hills, tribal villages and glistening white sands. But it’s the space-age and neck-straining glass and steel skyscrapers of Kuala Lumpur that really dazzle, which is why the location of this upscale crash-pad just 15 minutes from the capital could not be better.
Set in the heart of Subang Jaya with the township’s mega-sized shopping malls, art galleries, restaurants and state-of-the-art attractions on your doorstep, there’s enough to keep you busy from dawn until dusk. However, if the action all gets a little too fast-paced, you’re assured respite by way of the hotel’s full-service spa, state-of-the-art gym, and superb dining options.
Each of the 478 rooms and suites impress with fashion-forward décor; expect neutral hues, contemporary fixtures and fittings, and good-size beds dressed with luxe bedlinen. There’s also fully-stocked minibars that are replenished daily, great-looking bathrooms, a larger-than-average selection of in-room gadgetry, and floor-to-ceiling windows for cracking Kuala Lumpur views.
How to Get There
I have stayed at this hotel various times over the years, and returned in August 2019 on a business trip. The service provided from all staff including Concierge, Reception, Executive Club Lounge, Housekeeping..... (the list goes on)... was second to none, and the Dorsett once again made me feel as if I were at home. A massive thank you to all the team, and I will be returning very soon.
I have stayed at the Dorcett Grand many times since 2004 and always look forward to my return. Most of the staff have been there for many years and I feel like I'm always returning home. Everyone always recognizes me and I would especially like to thank Muruganant who greets me at the door and asks how my family is doing, Zairul Azli for always providing good tips for things to do in the area and Victor and Maria who work in the dining area and always take time to say hi and catch up. There are so many to thank for always providing such an awesome stay and the Hotel Management should be proud of how happy and cheerful all their staff is. Thank you so much for always treating me like we are family during my visits:)
Hi tea buffet spread is no different from food court. Never have I seen hi tea serving so many types of rice. Yes you have lots of varieties but no quality. Too much local food. Changes are good but you have change to become worst. Not value for money at all.
