How to Get There
We recently held our daughter's wedding reception at Mansions On Fifth Hotel, and could not be happier! The entire experience was top notch: the hotel was lovely, the venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, the service was outstanding. We are so thankful to Zach Webb, The Hotel Supervisor, for his help creating the day our daughter dreamed of her entire life. He returned our emails and calls promptly, he greeted us warmly, he assisted us with every single request and was the most professional, kind, competent wedding planner ever. Maryann was also invaluable as she went out of her way to assist us and make us feel so welcome. Our guests had an absolutely amazing time at Mansions On Fifth Hotel. I encourage any bride to first visit this lovely hotel and see firsthand how magical it is and how amazing her wedding can be! Also, be sure to request Zach as your wedding planner!R
Arrived on February 9 for the weekend for a wedding. Staff was excellent especially Zack. Rooms had old time charm with a fireplace and updated bathrooms. The wedding reception on Saturday night was beautiful. Would recommend the Mansion on 5th to anyone.
Having lived in an apartment a couple blocks from Millionaires Row 50 years ago, I was always enchanted by this house. When my wife suggested that we go there for our 12th anniversary, I enthusiastically agreed.
I must say that I was far disappointed. You enter into a large vestibule with an elegant staircase across from the main door. Dark wood and very realistic fireplaces makes one feel warm and comfortable. In addition to 2 dining areas for the continental breakfast the first floor has a comfortable sitting room and the Oak Bar (great selection of single malt scotch). Our room was expansive with period furniture except for the king bed. The updated bathroom had a large glass shower. The halls are decorated with beautiful art which could be bought. I would be remiss if I didn’t say how wonderful and personable the staff was.
Definitely 4 thumbs up (my wife and I)!
This is a really nice traditional place. It's being back on a Schotish mannor! Service are fare better than in Scotland. Cool location close to Walhnuts Street whitch is a great experience. Rooms are big clean and very nice...as there Oakbar..
It's a B&B and breakfast is great. All together a plesent stay.
We spent a recent weekend at the Mansions, a converted ca 1900 Pittsburgh luxury home. Our room was lovely, with a nice bath and luxurious products. The room had a comfortable chair in front of a toasty gas fireplace. The lobby is warm and very comfortable with lots of interesting details. The lobby bar was also very friendly. The included continental breakfast was a bit meager, but the breakfast menu included delicious items at a reasonable price. There were social events at night which were a little noisy, but ended by 10 pm in all cases. One note: there is an elevator, but we were told it was very slow. There are quite a number of stairs to the rooms so this may be a concern for those who don't like to climb stairs.
