How to Get There
Great hotel in a great location. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar is hotel pricey, but on a nice day, you CANNOT beat the views. Rooms are typically very clean and functional. Love that the window opens to allow some fresh air. This is the fourth time we have stayed there. Valet team is AWESOME.
We have stayed here several times over the past few years and I always feel happy pulling up to the entrance after navigating the slight craziness of Philadelphia's downtown roads and traffic circle. This property is near the museum area as well as near the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, adjacent to Logan Square, so there is an expansiveness to this area on one side of the hotel that doesn't feel like the typical downtown Philadelphia neighborhood. It's terrific that the entrance is set back a bit with a covered driveway so that when you're unloading (or loading back up) you don't have to feel like you are rushed by being on the street. And the doormen are very welcoming.
While it has been renovated from the Four Seasons Hotel it used to be, you might recognize the feel of a Four Seasons in the way it's laid out, with a generous lobby floor with expansive hallways. I would say that the decor leans toward a modern art museum vibe. The front desk staff were friendly and professional.
Our king room was large by city hotel standards (again, it used to be a Four Seasons) and decorated in elegant earth tones with a white duvet on the bed. I always love when a hotel provides a little empty refrigerator for our beverages and this one did. The bed was comfortable and the HVAC worked well. The bathroom was spacious and well-appointed (including a toilet where you can choose a water-saving option) and had good lighting. We were only there for one quick night for the Flower Show so we didn't need it, but there was plenty of storage for your stuff if you happen to stay here for any length of time.
In the past the hotel's restaurant, The Urban Farmer, had always disappointed us but this time we gave it a try again for breakfast and they seemed to get their service and food up to the standards we had expected from our experiences with this restaurant in Portland Oregon. Finally!
So this is becoming our go-to Philadelphia hotel and I think we're going to have to stay more than one night the next time!
Everyone was friendly, helpful & made the stay special. The gym was well equipped with updated equipment. Urban Farmer was great & enjoyed a great breakfast & lunch another day. Convenient location to restaurants &museums. Recommend it & if in Philly again will consider The Logan.
Went with my wife for a 2 day mini trip to see the flower show. This hotel has the look, feel and service of any full service city hotel. We were able to walk to all the areas of the city we wanted. The Logan also has some great amenities, like a first class restaurant and spa which we greatly enjoyed. It was a little too cold for the rooftop bar, but don't miss it if the weather is nice. Wow, what a great view of the city!
Recent stay for mini-vacation to include Philadelphia Flower Show and Museum “Binging”. The Logan is THE place to stay. This was a very rewarding experience not only for the location but the customer service delivered by the ENTIRE Staff was Superb
