How to Get There
The hotel has historic charm; the location is perfectly central; and the staff made the entire experience magnificent.
I was easily able to pop in and out of the hotel without any congestion, and I enjoyed my entire stay.
two thumbs up! polite service, clean rooms, excellent public spaces. The location in downtown Philadelphia is excellent, with great selection of nearby restaurants, bakeries, and bars. Also the Barnes Foundation art museum is only about 1 mile away.
Front desk tried to put us in a regular King room, and we had booked a Deluxe King. If I had not stayed there before I would have thought I was going into a Deluxe King. I knew we were in the smaller room, and the front desk was going to charge us the Deluxe King price until I called down to the front desk and complained. They acted like they didn't know why it happened, and then offered to upgrade us to a Suite for free. We took the Suite, but not satisfied on what initially happened.
