How to Get There
Very nice, CLEAN room. Passed the barefoot-walk-after-the-shower test. The soles of my feet remained clean. Very nice people. Parking is a bit difficult but it is more a function of the appealing rolling-hill nature of the property. Bar and restaurant spaces are warm and welcoming. Breakfast is well above average- breakfast staff even better!
Renovations are upcoming I am told- hoping they fix the very noisy HVAC units.
It's a typical DoubleTree in a great location central to many places. No frills and nothing fancy. About 5 blocks away is Parc a great restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are two Starbucks across the street a block away, and getting aride is super easy. Be careful where they give you a room as the hotel has both a front and back. Getting to the back rooms is a PITA.
Glad Doubletree still in Philadelphia as we stayed there in 2002 for a holiday weekend & were pleased with location & accommodation. We booked it again this time for another 3 night stay. Just wish the senior rate could be a little more generous, but we'd book this hotel again in the future.
