How to Get There
Stayed two nights and our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable and a beautiful view of bay. We had difficulty with getting out of the hotel parking ramp which in earlier review by another guest on Trip Advisor he/she mentioned this too. Also as said by an earlier reviewer, parking should be free for hotel guests. We stayed at Club level, an weren’t impressed with the Manager’s special of complimentary snacks. The first night there wasn’t anything hardly-just a small plate with cheese slices. Second night was better. But the people serving this weren’t friendly and very accommodating. The continental breakfast -the attendant hid in a side room. We had to go get her to get silverware, plates, there wasn’t any food left and it wasn’t even time for it to end. When your paying to stay at Club level, it should be much better. Even the Holiday Inn has a better continental breakfast. Generally their Attendant is right there to help you and making sure all food items including condiments are refilled when low.
This property is visually appealing - both day and night. It gives bright, vibrant energy at a distance but the best views are FROM the property. The main restaurant indoor and patio seating have great views of the lake and marine activity. There's also an outdoor eatery and bar area on the side of the property - more casual, almost beachy.
The rooms views are terrific with big picture windows. (There was a coating of Kamikaze bugs but looked recent and glass was clean otherwise ... sometimes you can't help for nature!)
The bed and pillows are SO comfortable. French doors to the bathroom are a very nice touch. Our 6th floor room was spacious, clean, with nice bath/shower. The walls were thick enough to effectively muffle the neighbors (small children - no problem).
Location was great - easy to find where we had to go and Presque Isle was close, easy to get to.
Staff were upbeat, friendly, helpful. Would look forward to staying again whenever we might return.
We stayed on the seventh floor facing the water. Great view of the boats and the Tower. Ordered room service and it was good and was delivered at the time requested. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Several local pubs nearby.
3 day stay for a conference, Beautiful Summer weather in a very scenic location. Footprint of hotel and parking garage leads to some walking in relation to the conference center, however it is all accessible and the traffic pattern is easy to comprehend.
I was staying at the Sheraton for a conference. I was told repeatedly to arrive early for the conference that began at 4 pm. I arrived at 2 pm. The room was not ready and I had to wait until almost 3:45 to get in my room which gave me no time to freshen up before my meeting. I am not sure if this was a miscommunication between Nysut and the hotel ? Other than that... it was a very nice hotel and great location on the water !
