How to Get There
Had a great stay at this property! Clean updated room, quiet, very comfy bed, in room fridge, great restaurant, pleasant check-in/check-out, beautiful location. I had a Bay View room and loved the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Great photo opportunities! Would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the Erie area.
Overall my trip was great I was surprised that the Hotel Staff didn’t explain any of the amenities of the Hotel Breakfast,Dinner, Gym etcetera Upon check in nothing was explained no Check out time etc
Sheraton Erie Bayfront Grille... our favorite restaurant in Erie... we live in Erie and when we go to the Bayfront Grill we feel like we are on vacation ... today we celebrated Fathers Day at the Bayfront Grille and Michele was our server and was incredible... today’s Fathers Day celebration was wonderful!
We chose the Erie Bayfront Sheraton for our first (and only) night in Erie based on its location and positive reviews and were not disappointed. We stayed on the 7th floor with a Bay view with Club Lounge access (after the front desk graciously allowed us to check in early so that we could spend more time on the Bayfront.). The view of the bay and the sunset that evening was simply awesome with great views of the Convention Center and the Bicentennial Tower.
The room was large and well-appointed with a comfortable chair for my husband to read and plenty of surface space (desk and a low table) to lay out our belongings with a separate area to hang clothes with small cubbies for other storage. The bathroom had plenty of towels and sink space and a walk in shower with sliding doors, ample water pressure and a great showerhead. And the bed and pillows were soooooo comfortable with ample pillows and covers with the TV strategically placed so as to see it from anywhere in the room. Plus there were plenty of outlets to charge our various devices.
We took advantage of the fact the Club Lounge is open 24/7 to get water and soda as needed and enjoyed the hot appetizers from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM (we went up twice--once when it opened for crudité, cheeses, grapes and hot potato puffs and riblets and then once again when it was near closing to unexpectedly and happily find a different duo of hot appetizers--chicken nuggets and egg rolls...other hotels would just have failed to replenish the original offerings when they were gone--but not the Sheraton!) The hot breakfast served starting at 6:00 AM was equally generous--bacon, eggs, pastries, etc. with free copies of the Erie Times-News to learn about local news and activities.
We did not take advantage of the restaurant, indoor pool or the small "store" behind the Front Desk but they all looked inviting...especially the wine and beer that we did not notice when we checked in! Oh, and did I mention the small gas or electric fireplace in the lobby right when you enter? VERY appealing on the overcast and chilly day when we arrived.
Finally, the service was exceptional--we were accommodated with early check-in, we were given helpful advice on local attractions and, when we were leaving, one of the persons on staff was placing buckets of umbrellas at both the exit and entrance to the hotel and the parking garage because the canopy on the outside walkway connecting the two was being replaced....and rain was in the forecast.
All in all, just a 5-star experience. The only downside--we like Coke....and the hotel only serves Pepsi!
Front desk customer service is very professional and polite. Amy was very helpful with all our accommodations. This is our second stay here and we will be happy to return due to the customer service and beautiful view.
