How to Get There
We stayed here for the weekend for a wedding, and I could not have been happier with this place. Warning: this might be my longest review.
To start: when we checked in, the employee was so friendly and approachable, I almost didn’t feel like this was a check in. It was like a friendly chat for three or four minutes and then we were off to our rooms.
And the rooms: really nice, I didn’t take pictures because we’d already made a mess with unpacking by the time I thought to. But they’re upscale modern if I were to pick a style.
The breakfast: amazing. And even the coffee out of the vending machine is so rich it’s reminiscent of a Cabernet Sauvignon (two shots of espresso followed by coffee). To me that’s immediately a plus 3.
The event: a wedding that was so well done with such friendly staff I would have my own here. The food was incredible and the drinks were great too.
Now let me discuss the most incredible asset: the restroom.
They had EVERYTHING. floss, deodorant, mouthwash, collagen makeup remover, hairspray, Advil, a brush, an anti-acid, Bobby pins, lotion, q-tips, hair ties, bandaids, combs, mints. I know this isn’t a monumental thing when choosing a hotel, but when you’re in need of something IT JUST ABOUT IS. I had some frizz, and I never use hairspray, but I was like hmm it’s here why not? And it did the trick. And really it was the most courteous thing I’ve seen a hotel do.
It was like unboxing a causebox or something, so much fun and wondering how I can use the things in front of me lol.
This place is great, I love the grounds and the people working and I’ve had such a wonderful time here I hope to come back!
And whichever band was here, it was absolutely incredible. I had the best time tonight and I really recommend it to anyone :)
Normandy Farms was absolutely perfect for a one place wedding and reception. Elegance overboard, food was outstanding, wait staff was very friendly and professional. Plus out of town visitors could stay in the hotel. Would highly recommend this location.
Stayed at the hotel for 3 days for a work conference. The conference facilities were nice. It was the perfect place for our business meetings and the lunches were very good. The hotel rooms were clean and didn’t have any issues. Since this facility also hosts weddings there was a noise factor after hours that wasn’t conducive to sleeping well on a business trip. Guests ran through hallways and it was pretty loud - sleep was disrupted both nights because of extremely loud people and noises in the hallways. I would have also offered a coffee station in the lobby.
I joined the hotel during a company conference late March for three days.
My hotel room was real great and real good cleaned every day.
Conference room and all served meals real outstanding.
Service of every one was highly appreciated and well received.
Overall I would would join the hotel even for private reason
The building and grounds are nice but they are lacking in details for business travelers. No bottled water available, poorly designed bathrooms (ie a single sink with no counter space), no in-room dining menus, poorly equipped gym, etc. There is a lack of competition locally, but with a few small tweaks this could be a good property. As is, I wouldn’t come back voluntarily.
