How to Get There
I joined the hotel during a company conference late March for three days.
My hotel room was real great and real good cleaned every day.
Conference room and all served meals real outstanding.
Service of every one was highly appreciated and well received.
Overall I would would join the hotel even for private reason
The building and grounds are nice but they are lacking in details for business travelers. No bottled water available, poorly designed bathrooms (ie a single sink with no counter space), no in-room dining menus, poorly equipped gym, etc. There is a lack of competition locally, but with a few small tweaks this could be a good property. As is, I wouldn’t come back voluntarily.
Our house was full so we booked 3 nights during Christmas holidays and our two sons stayed here. They really liked it. Free breakfast that was good with good coffee. Comfy beds, an adequate fitness room and a pool (they didn't use). It was very convenient for us and fairly reasonable in price. We'll do it again next year!
Five stars for appearance and decor, but comes up short on execution. The wine room reserved at least half a year prior was double booked so we were bumped to the dowager room with too much very loud noise from the dining room trivia loudspeaker and too wide a table. To make matters worse even before dessert I got violently ill on a bad scallop (which in fairness could have been the supplier). Besides that the food was 3-4 star.
We chose this over our normal William Penn so we could all sleep over. Four couples were in a private house, but we had to bring our work table and chairs to have a post dinner gathering in the entryway. My room was a suite 205 in the main building. The bed was great and the room quiet, but lacked a coffee maker or mini fridge. We also asked for a cot but none was provided. We decided to make do with the sleeper sofa, but no bedding was provided. That took quite a while because maid service was gone for the day. Needless to say, they lost our business. Photo is from the second floor entrance to the hotel rooms.
my hubby wanted to add new experiences to our list by traveling to Philly. He has a longtime friend living nearby and wanted to introduce John, Rachel, Lexi, and Logan to me. I like time to freshen up after a four hour drive and we booked a night at this beautiful hotel. I was pleasantly surprised with the outside décor, lobby, dining area, room, and pool. I highly recommend this gem.
