Great Night!
Reviewed 4 days ago

Went and stayed overnight at Sands Bethlehem. Turned out to be a great night. The hotel was beautiful and spotless. Ate at the buffet and it was good. Casino floor was fun with plenty of variety. There is an outlet mall attached to the building. I rated a 4 because the staff was not friendly and completely uninformed about everything. Asked a slot attendant about a slot machine, She didn’t know if they had it, she radio’d someone they told her it was on the floor. She walked us all over the place, only to find out, the machine wasn’t on the floor anymore. That’s just one of a few bad experiences we encountered. Otherwise, great trip. Definitely will visit again.

We started a short overnight stay in Bethlehem with a stay at the casino. We chose to park ourselves with plenty of hotel parking. Valet parking is available and the sign designates the 7$ charge for valet so that no one is surprised.
Check in could not be any smoother. Our reservation was there, our room was ready early so we could drop off our bags and we were offered a booklet of coupons for the outlet stores.
Room was clean and airy. Had a fridge and safe located under the tv next to clothes drawers and the fridge was already cold. A menu is available for in room dining but we had used open table to make a reservation for emeralds fish restaurant.
After unpacking we headed to the pool for a bit. The room is warm but pool was chilly so we just relaxed a bit until we wanted to head to the casino.
The casino is large, it has both table games and machines. We headed to the center bar, I think it’s called coil. Both bartenders names are Jackie and both are attentive as they run around server folks. The machines around the bar are the electronic slots that have poker, slots, keno and other games all in one. You can set you bets from low to high value while playing so don’t be afraid to drop in and play penny slots while at the bar. Reminder. Bar drinks are paid for and outside of bar are free drinks. Played for about three hours and still walked away with money. So I was happy. Multiple sport games were playing so wife who does not gamble was happy. Cigars are allowed at the bar so this is a plus, at least for me it is.
Dinner was delicious and table was ready as we had reservation.
Check out was as smith as check in and I expect to stay here again.

Beyond the Casino Floor

We've recently stayed at the Sands Hotel and our stays have been very enjoyable. We are local and play at the Sands occasionally, and staying in the hotel has given us a whole different perception of the property, in a good way. The hotel is very modern, secure, and surprisingly quiet…at least it was on the 12th floor. Check-in was a breeze and staff were professional and welcoming.

Our rooms were clean and comfortable, with attractive, modern artwork on the walls. The showers are very nice with immediate hot water – no waiting for it to warm up. Bath towels are large & fluffy. Rooms come with a Kuering and a small assortment of coffee/tea, and 2 bottles of spring water. Plenty of spots to charge electronics. It’s the simple things that can make a stay just a little more enjoyable. We were also comped a (large) box of chocolates on one particular weekend…pictured!

If you have the chance to stay, I recommend it. I know there are lots of changes happening with this property in the new future, and I look forward to seeing what those bring.

Steelworks Buffet & Grill - not really worth the value
Reviewed 2 months ago

We went to the Steelworks Buffet & Grill at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, PA before a recent comedy show. The food was okay, not great; the variety or okay, not great; the price was quite high. I would say the value did not match the price.

I was expecting the kind of buffet I have had at the Borgata in Atlantic City, since the price was similar. The though the prices were close together, the experiences were miles apart.
