How to Get There
Our room was charming, great view of the town, beautiful furniture and linens, spacious bathroom, would not change a thing. Staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful, seem to genuinely enjoy serving customers. A real 5 star experience, don't miss it!
We were attending a wedding in the Grand Ballroom and were blown away by this hotel. We also stayed 2 nights. This is definitely most luxurious place we have ever stayed. Loved the history of this hotel and seeing the pictures of famous guests that have stayed here, JFK, Dali Lama, Winston Churchill, Bill Clinton, Shirley Temple, Ozzy Osborne, Billy Joel, plus dozens more. The amenities were unparalleled. Staff was knowledgeable and extremely helpful and friendly. The food and drinks were great both at the wedding and in the onsite restaurants. Walk outside onto Main Street to explore the quaint, eclectic shops and restaurants. Would recommend for a long weekend getaway!! Loved everything about The Historic Hotel Bethlehem!
My room was very nice. Curtains opened for daylight, and closed for privacy at night. Pillows were great: feather & squishable; 2 robes were available, as were shampoo, conditioner & lotion. Housekeeper was very accomodating.
Cocktail lounge in lobby was relaxing. Bartender was personable & customers were friendly. You are permitted to take a drink to your room.
Decor is from 40-50 years ago, but everything is clean.
A wedding for the son of our good friends was the reason for the visit. Although we arrived at 1:00 PM, we were able to check in and get our our bearings. The rooms were well appointed, elegant, and comfortable. The only hiccup was my inability to locate the toilet tissue holder (hiding behind the door😏), but the staff was prompt in responding to my call. The lighting controls are a bit confusing, but not bothersome. Delicous coffee, decaf, hot water, & Moravian sugar cake are available in the lobby until 10:00AM, as well as a Keurig in the room. We only ate one meal in the restaurants and it was delicious. The wedding reception was in the grand ballroom. It was an awesome event from the bar & appetizers, to the food & service, to the decor. Would definitely make a return visit. While not the least expensive option, the price was well in line with the amenities.
Stayed at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem for our 50th Lehigh University Reunion and the experience was absolutely fantastic! They have done an incredible job restoring this beautiful building and they have left no detail untouched! The guest rooms, the dining areas, the pub, the gift shop, the public areas, the outside spaces all were amazing! Will definitely go back again!
Reserve early! Very high demand!
