How to Get There
Well where do I start!!! Believe all the great things said about this hotel, the staff and the food. We have just come home from an 11 night stay at the King Jason and it was fabulous. Andreas makes you feel like he's known you for years and nothing is too much trouble, the slightest problem is sorted with minimal fuss. Maria the restaurant manager makes you feel so welcome too (day 2 asked if there was any marmite had it by day 4). Apartment/studios are a bit tired but spotlessly clean and the beds are so comfortable. Gold star to whoever thought to put an air con unit above area where us girls dry our hair! The food was delicious, all cooked fresh and so tasty, beautifully presented, different theme every day. All pools lovely and clean, never a struggle for a sun bed and there were 4 of us! Only downside for us was the location, roughly a 15-20 min walk to seafront but there is a shuttle bus 3 times a day. We knew there was no entertainment and playing cards became a bit boring so no choice but to go into town.
Rumour has it that hotel is going adult only from next June which hopefully will encourage management to put on some entertainment maybe. Would I stay here again? Absolutely
We knew we were in for a great time, after reading the many positive trip advisor reviews.
Our flight was late arriving to Paphos, so we didn’t get to the hotel until 11pm. We were greeted with a cold glass of champagne and chocolates and our cases were taken to our room. Maria had made sure there was fresh sandwiches, cheese and biscuits, fruit and water in our fridge.
The room was amazing - very spacious and clean. The air conditioning was very powerful and quiet. We had a view over the Elegancia pool and whilst this was near the main road, this was a very quiet room indeed. Housekeeping were fantastic and our room was always kept spotless.
We were all inclusive, which was great. The food is of brilliant quality, choice and always cooked fresh before your eyes. The service, under the direction of Andreas, is always first class.
On our second day, I asked for a peach schnapps and lemonade, but I was informed they don’t have this. Within 24 hours, they had gone and bought some in - amazing service!!
Each and every member of staff make sure you are continually happy, but in a very genuine way.
We spent the majority of our time by the adults only Elegancia pool. This was perfect. Quiet and caught the sun from 08:00 to 20:00. There was also a waiter service, so you didn’t even need to get up from your lounger if you fancied a refreshing cocktail.
The harbour is a gentle 15/20 minute walk away and is well worth a visit. We went in the evening for souvenir shopping and to soak up the atmosphere.
In all the hotels I have ever stayed, none have come close to the amazing service we received at the King Jason. We have already booked out holiday for 2019, but will definitely be returning in 2020.
Just back from a wonderful stay at this friendly and welcoming hotel. Staff were amongst the best I have ever encountered. Andreas and Maria made us feel like family.
The food was varied and excellent. Put out in small amounts and regularly topped up with fresh food.
It's hard to name any individual member of staff as they all went out of their way to treat everyone with the utmost respect.
The sun beds were so comfortable with nice thick mattresses and a pillow. Some of the parasols were a bit tired and in need of replacement.
We did sometimes struggle a bit getting beds round the spa pool as people reserved them with towels very early in the morning and some of these people were in big groups.
For me personally I preferred the spa pool as it was nice and quiet and had walk in steps with a rail.
The other adult pool always had free beds around it and was equally quiet, but for me the pool was not so accessible due to a mobility problem I have at the moment.
The main pool had walk in steps too, but this pool was used more by families and their children and became much busier as our holiday progressed.
The walk to the harbour is pleasant, but the hotel do provide a courtesy bus which goes to the beach, harbour and shopping mall . Times for this are given on arrival.
The room we stayed in was lovely, clean and comfortable.
My only quibble with this hotel would be the people who were not all inclusive using other people's room numbers to claim free drinks.
The hotel is going to be adults only and all inclusive from May so this will no longer be a problem and to be honest this hotel is better suited to adults as there is not much for children to do.
I would totally recommend this hotel and look forward to returning to 'the adults only' hotel in the foreseeable future.
Nothing was too much trouble for the manager and staff of this hotel. Every time they saw they they engaged you in conversation and checked that you were ok and you were enjoying yourself.
Also we left something in our room and Andreas the manager sent it to our home by post. What fantastic service. Would definitely go again.
Ever since leaving this fantastic hotel a few weeks ago I have never experienced holiday blues so bad!!
I'd say about 10 minute walk to the harbor, we found this walk absolutely fine and walked there most nights for a drink. There are plenty of bars and eateries. We felt the bars were more geared up for families and older people (we were travelling as a young couple). This did not bother us as we wanted a relaxed holiday so it was a quiet drink for us just for a change of scenery. The best nearby beach is 30mins by bus, which come every 10/15 mins, 5 mins walk from the hotel.
The pool areas are just fabulous, clean and well maintained. All three pools were so inviting and the sunbeds were so comfortable with a plush mattress on the beds and pillows. Perfect for a relaxing day. Highly recommend the hydro pool which is adults only. However the main pool is where we spent most of our time.
Our room overlooked the outside terrace and main pool. The rooms itself were really spacious and kept immaculately clean. Housekeepers would attend later on in the day if you wished to stay in bed in the morning. Beds were really comfortable, 2 singles pushed together with a plush mattress on top. The room was equipped with everything you would need, more than enough storage space, a handy kitchenette if you wanted to cook, a safe, hairdryer, iron etc. Décor was modern and had a real boutique feel. We stayed in a superior studio apartment.
We stayed all inclusive at the resort and the food and drinks were fantastic. Definitely the best food and drink we’ve had as part of an all inclusive holiday. There was a huge variety at every meal time, but not only that, everything was cooked to perfection and tasted so fresh. Seriously, hats off to the team for pulling this off because everything was brilliant!
As mentioned by other reviews, the staff are just fantastic. So genuine but efficient. We always received excellent service at reception, meal times, by the pool, or even just chatting to the staff in passing. It really does make a huge difference as everyone seems so happy to work there and they can’t do enough for you! Thank you King Jason for an amazing holiday!
