How to Get There
We were invited by friends to spend a week at Paradise Village Beach Resort for a week and were impressed by the cleanliness of the resort. The food and drinks were also impressive. Most important were the staff! They went far and beyond any service I have experienced in my travels. From Camina at check-in who met us with a smile and did her upmost to ensure we had the best room to Ernesto our beach waiter who ensured we were well fed and not without a cocktail and Fernando who served us dinner on a few occasions. There was also Isabel from concierge who ensured all our excursions were perfect and Margarita who gave us a wonderful tour of their resort and all the amenities. It was the warmth of the staff that made the difference.
We stayed in early December of 2018 with another couple for our first visit to PV. The room (2-bdr; 2-bath) was well appointed and the service was impeccable! If I had one complaint, it's that our bathroom (1 of 2) was handicapped equipped with a large roll-in shower (a good thing), but the flex-hose showerhead, was mounted at about 3' (1 m) with no accomodations for an alternate (i.e. standard height) mounting. While it appears that there had been one, it'd apparently broknen off at some point in the past and was never replaced. Not a huge deal, but mildly inconvenient. As to the staff, all were found to be quite friendly with many (especially our housekeeper, Ana) willing to go above and beyond the call. For the most part, the on-site dining facillities were as would be excpected at a resort of this type--with food qulity being average to good, but with A+ service. The one exception was our experience at Il Pescatore Ristorante which we found to be over-priced (considering the poor food quality) with sub-standard service. All in all, a great trip... We'll look forward to returning.
I was there for 2 weeks and the service throughout that time was impeccable! Everyone is so friendly - it is like coming home. I have been coming here for 16 yrs. Sergio Rangel is amazing, always has a smile on his face and goes the extra mile for the guests! We are so spoiled - when we go elsewhere - no one can live up the the standard set by him and his crew. Ernesto, Gabby, Gabriel, and Rueben are some of those that excel!!!! I will be back again next year!!! Keep up the great work! KUDOs to all of you!
Excellent service. Friendly service. On the beach with excellent beach facilities. Beautiful beach, well maintained. The rooms were spotless, well decorated. Great bathrooms, large well designed. Each room has a balaconie. Those facing the beach, everynight get a beautiful view of sunset. A little piece of heaven
As a member of Paradise Village I am appalled that this so called "five star" resort has had very few updates to the guest rooms or lobbies for twelve years. The same old plastic drab flowers remain lining the planters in the hallways. The carpets in the Uxmal building are dirty and a musty smell of mold is very noticable upon entering that lobby.
The resort is clean and the staff are hardworking and very friendly. The services are good. The food is good, the pools are warm, and the beach is excellent. Still compared to a nearby resort Villa del Palmar it's not nearly as inviting.
The all inclusive package is expensive.
