How to Get There
I booked a 2-day March break getaway package. The activities were fun and plentiful. I was disappointed at the crappy little charges $2/ea for maple toffee, $27/day appeared on my bill as an activities charge. I left feeling nickel and dimed after spending a lot of money on the 2-day package.
Fantastic customer service from the time the meeting is booked to the time you walk out the door to return home. Unique ambiance, comfortable rooms, amazing food, and fantastic meeting spaces. We have held our meeting at this location for several years, and will definitely be back again!
A great place for winter fun and relaxation. Relax by the fireplace in the lobby and meet and have terrific conversations with interesting folks from around the world. The accommodation rate includes a resort fee, so take advantage of the snowshoes, skates, cross-country skis, curling venue and other good stuff - you're paying for it anyway. There are two outdoor ice rinks, one with refrigeration - perfect for a game of shinny with resort-supplied sticks and skates or for figure skating in a spectacular setting. The grounds are well-maintained so access to the rinks, snowshoe or ski trails, &c is easy. The staff is wonderful, warm and welcoming, the rooms are very comfortable and nicely rustic-looking. The food in the restaurants is very good, if on the pricey side, and service is excellent. As others have noted, the resort is undergoing renovations right now, so we had to go outside to get to the pool and spa building rather than taking the tunnel, which made for a refreshingly brisk walk back to our room after a swim :-) . We are regular guests at the chateau and are curious to see how the renovations go, and like others, hope the lobby isn't changed so much that it loses its fabulous character and warmth.
A great destination for families! We enjoyed all of our meals, and had some new experiences like dog-sledding! We have created some wonderful memories at Le Chateau Montebello. Thank you for helping us to enjoy March Break!
Go tubing! Currently undergoing renos so you do have to walk outside to get to the indoor pool. Had kids activities during March break which was appreciated. Great fireplace. Great place to unwind and do activities if you want to be active. For eating off of site, nearest town only has approximately 3 places to eat so make reservations.
