Overview

Eco-friendly boutique hotel designed in glass, local stone and cedar, steps from Queenstown's buzzing center

The Lowdown

This design-centric property was created by local architect Preston Stevens of 2 Architecture Studio with angular lines inspired by the surrounding mountains. The 19 rooms (15 with views to the Skyline Gondola, three facing the Remarkables mountains, and one two-level Tower Suite with a fireplace) have bleached ash timber floors, a pale color palette and dark timber, with stylish touches including patterned cushions and rugs. Bathrooms have a glass wall for the uninhibited and modesty curtains for those who are not. All rooms have kitchenettes and gourmet grocery packs, so no shopping is required.

In the Area

Near the banks of Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown Gardens offers plenty of local flora and fauna and tranquil nature trails to lose yourself in. If you prefer strolling around the stores, head into town to discover New Zealand labels such as Verge at DT Carter boutique. Joe’s Garage on Searle Lane is a popular spot for breakfast and lunch where comfort food such as spicy bratwurst sausage, bacon and a free range egg in a warm “Joe’s roll” hits the spot.

Beautiful small hotel in a great location
Walgarri

This boutique hotel may be small in size but not the rooms! For our family of 4 we had two rooms - Remarkables room and a Remarkables Suite. Both were modern & beautifully decorated and a great size, both with small kitchenettes. The suite had a small balcony and a firepace with a roomy sitting space. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, the location is nice and quiet, yet a 2 minute walk across the park to town. Go to Browns for your ski hire and they will be delivered to the hotel and picked up at the end of the week. We also hired a car from reception through their sister company, which was also delivered to the hotel - it couldn't have been easier.
Breakfast was lovely with a la carte (daily specials also) and a good continental buffet included as well. They know how to make a great coffee as well.
Under cover complimentary parking with ski dry room, good wifi and great service and welcome by all the staff topped off a great experience. I would definitely stay here again when back to Queenstown.

From the moment we checked in at Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel was perfect. The staff were so friendly and happy to show us all we needed to know about our room and if there was anything else they could help us with.
The drinks and canapes were just so special and we enjoyed sitting in the lounge having a conversation with other guests. The room was amazing so clean and everything there that we needed, breakfast was high class we so enjoyed it. Being a local here in Queenstown we would recommend the Hotel to everyone we know and friends looking for accommodation. We would rate this accommodation one of the best in Queenstown.

Wonderful holiday in a lovely hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the friendly staff, in the main, were responsible for this. The decor was modern and sophisticated without being ostentatious. The breakfasts were delicious and again made all the more enjoyable by the hospitable staff. We felt like we were guests in someone’s home rather than passing tourists.
