This design-centric property was created by local architect Preston Stevens of 2 Architecture Studio with angular lines inspired by the surrounding mountains. The 19 rooms (15 with views to the Skyline Gondola, three facing the Remarkables mountains, and one two-level Tower Suite with a fireplace) have bleached ash timber floors, a pale color palette and dark timber, with stylish touches including patterned cushions and rugs. Bathrooms have a glass wall for the uninhibited and modesty curtains for those who are not. All rooms have kitchenettes and gourmet grocery packs, so no shopping is required.
In the Area
Near the banks of Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown Gardens offers plenty of local flora and fauna and tranquil nature trails to lose yourself in. If you prefer strolling around the stores, head into town to discover New Zealand labels such as Verge at DT Carter boutique. Joe’s Garage on Searle Lane is a popular spot for breakfast and lunch where comfort food such as spicy bratwurst sausage, bacon and a free range egg in a warm “Joe’s roll” hits the spot.
How to Get There
My girlfriend and I finished our road trip through New Zealand with 3 nights at Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel. We could not speak highly enough of this hotel and could not recommend more. We were greeted on arrival with a run down of all the things to do and see in Queenstown. The room was wonderful with a beautiful view of the pine trees and autumn leaves, it had a big bed, tv, kitchenette and spacious bathroom. The employees of the hotel were very friendly and helpful which really made it a great place to be. There are free drinks and canapes every night 6-7pm which was fantastic for mingling with other guests as well as the hotel staff who would happily recommend you a restaurant for the evening. Also included in our package was breakfast which was amazing, pick from fresh fruits, cereal, tea coffee, pastries or the hotel chef will cook you a hot meal from their breakfast menu. It was quite expensive but we did our research and most accommodation in Queenstown was similar in price. A fantastic experience and when we come back to Queenstown I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
This is a great hotel.
Interior, exterior is beautiful.
Staff are fantastic.
Close to town and all amenities.
I think my favourite thing here was the breakfasts though. Very high quality.
I am a chef and I was impressed. Chef Lia and her staff do a great job.
Loads of variety and all included in the price.
Will def stay here again.
Highly recommend QPBH. We wish we could have stayed longer! The breakfast was incredible, as was the attention from the staff. The hotel was small enough that we got to know other guests at the daily happy hour, where we relaxed with great wine and canapes! The rooms were great, the location was perfect, the staff were incredible!
We stayed at Queenstown park boutique hotel for 3 nights in late April. From the moment we checked in the team was highly accommodating, from allowing us to leave our car in the car park when we arrived 4 hours earlier in check in (a huge benefit in Queenstown where most parking is hourly metered) to insisting we grab breakfast from the kitchen prior to its 6.30 start time as we had an early coach tour that day. I do love the teams personalised touch to showing the travellers their room and the greetings for every time you came or left the hotel. I did read some reviews about some noise on the Main Street, and I have to disagree. For the limited noise you hear it is significantly less than in the centre of the town or around the lakeside as the main road routes for Queenstown. A highly recommended place for anyone staying in Queenstown but would like a personal treatment that a large number based hotel cannot provide!
My wife and I stayed here after a friends wedding in Te Anau and immediately we felt at home. Agoda had mixed up our booking and our room wasn’t available so the very friendly manager up graded us as it was our only ‘Parents night’ before heading home. What a sensational place to stay. We were heading to QT for drinks with friends and the manager offered and drove us there as it was raining. As I said, above and beyond. We definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning one day.
