Above and beyond customer service.

We had a wonderful nights stay for the Carrie Underwood concert. It was walkable to everything and parking was close. The parking price for overnight was a little steep but there is a garage for half the price around the corner.

But the reason we chose to write this review is to shoutout Michael the night audit. He went above and beyond and have never had such a remarkable experience. He made sure our night was the best.

Thank you Michael!

Perfect visit home

I recently made a visit back to Portland for a few days, after moving to the east coast. I was delighted with my stay at the Heathman. I had stayed once at the hotel several years ago, but it was so much nicer this time. The bathrooms appear to have been redone - very elegant, clean, white-tile Euro style, and the room seemed updated. Reception staff was very efficient, courteous, and friendly. I also had a reasonably-priced, delicious egg breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Headwater’s. I will definitely stay here again. This is a great location if you want to be in downtown Portland near the Park blocks, Keller and Schnitzer theatres, and Saturday Farmers’ Market.

New Kimpton look interior
Reviewed 3 days ago

I have stayed at the Heathman a number of times. Reported a bad experience here a while back when they were in the midst of the remodel. Decided to give the H another try despite that. The new look is a Kimpton look. And they have apparently eliminated the beefeater uniforms for the door- and bellmen, replacing them with ugly modern outfits. I like Kimpton Hotels but will stay at a Kimpton when I want that type of experience. My room (909) was designed for someone in a wheelchair, so the layout was weird for me (not in a wheelchair) and I wasn’t told this at check in.

Classy hotel in great location

I have stayed here twice now. Rooms are modern and clean, bathrobe is a nice touch. From the hotel I was able to walk to restaurants, the Saturday farmer's market (highly recommend), Nordstrom, the river, park space, the theater...anything you need. I would stay here again.

Great location close to theaters, shopping and dinning the staff was great and we enjoyed the free beers/cocktails they serve their guests each evening. the doorman recommend a great sushi restaurant ( Bamboo) and some other good local knowledge will definitely be back!
