How to Get There
Thank you, Kimpton Hotel Vintage, for making our anniversary so very special. Everything - and I mean everything, from the service to the restaurant to the room to the bar to the wine hour to the local, indie craft market - everything was spot on. We LOVED our time there and are recommending the hotel (and all of Portland) to friends here in San Francisco.
The whole long weekend was fun, but we particularly enjoyed our Saturday. Started with a ride up to Forest Park on your complimentary Public Bikes, followed by a luxurious nap and then a delicious dinner at Il Solito. After dinner, we retired to the "mezzanine" games floor where we spent the rest of the night playing billiards.
We hope to return sometime in the not too distant future. Thanks, again!
Checked in early and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was accommodated (esp Breanne!). The hotel had a great happy hour, and all staff members too the time to make the experience seemless.
Thank you for a great experience!
I stayed in this hotel in a King Reserve Spa Suite, 650 square feet with a huge soaking tub, a comfy couch, massive table and wet bar for entertaining. It was perfect! Some friends came by to join us for a 50th birthday happy hour, and the space was definitely large enough for everyone to hang out in comfortably. The hotel also left a Happy Birthday bottle of wine for me (much appreciated!) My boyfriend slept better than he had all week, and we really enjoyed the deep soaking tub. On top of all of this, my dog was welcomed with no additional pet fees. Thank you, Kimpton, for another fantastic stay!
A beautiful swanky hotel in downtown Portland. We stayed the night on New Years Eve and attended the New Years Eve Ball. We had a great time and service was excellent. Valet was a little steep but besides that we would stay again.
My wife decided to surprise me with a weekend stay at this hotel for my birthday, partially because the location allowed us to walk to my favorite restaurant where we could drink wine without driving, but also because it had the coolest rooftop spa tubs! She knew that since our spa tub stopped working at home, a soak in a private tub would be a great surprise, and it was.
To begin, the hotel offers valet parking which is really convenient but is rather expensive. The bank tower across the street offers DIY parking at a lower rate. Once inside, the front desk staff got us checked in and to our room quickly. The room itself is small and not remarkable, but that's ok since the rooftop deck with aforementioned spa tub is where we spent most of our time when we weren't sleeping or at the restaurant.
Before dinner, we went to complimentary wine tasting in the lobby, followed by some nice music in the bar on the ground floor of the hotel.
The only negative thing I can recall was that the office tower next to the hotel has open windows that looked down on our rooftop spa tub and seating area. Might be an issue during the day but was not an issue after hours.
Overall a short but very nice experience, more fun that most of the other hotels in downtown Portland that we've tried.
