Site visit for future conference
Reviewed 8 hours ago

I went here to visit with Juliadi Two to consider the opportunity for a future conference. Juliadi works in the sales department. She was very professional, open, and accommodating. The visit went very well. I was particularly pleased in my interactions with Juliadi, though I was also happy with the professionalism of the staff overall.

Find a different hotel, unless you like house keeping banging on your door at 8
Reviewed 11 hours ago

It’s a nice hotel, in a great location, but I wouldn’t stay again. Housekeeping banged on our door at 8, and woke me up, and when I responded they tried repeatedly to come in, thankfully we had the additional safety of the interior lock so it was stopped from opening all the way. And came back 10 minutes later. Our check out was noon, but we felt kicked out. When talking to the front desk the responded that they’d talk to housekeeping. $400, not worth it.

Annual friends meet up.

We had a group of 21 friends in Portland for an annual reunion. Over the years we have visited Washington DC, Cape Cod, Bermuda, and taken an Alaska Cruise. Our stay at the Downtown Portland Hilton tops the list of accommodations.

Good location

The Hilton is in a really good location - it is a block away from pioneer square. The light rail passes the front of the hotel.

The room I had was the usual corporate blandness. Everything you need was in place.

The wifi cost money. In the modern age this is not a good thing.

Great Customer Service
Reviewed 3 days ago

Came to Portland for a conference at the Hilton Portland Downtown and came in a few days early to explore which led to a little confusion. Using the Hilton App to book my room pre-conference allowed me to book a “Dunaway Deluxe Upgrade.” There was a lot of confusion on my end when I checked in on the app and I was at the Dunaway across the street, not the Hilton Portland Downtown. When I got to my room at the Hilton, it was MUCH smaller than what the photos showed online. After a lengthy but productive conversation with Samantha and Sarah, they helped tremendously. Great customer service and did whatever they could to make it right, which they did. In the end, the Hilton Portland Downtown allows a user to book an “upgraded room” but doesn’t notify the guest its actually across the street and not in the main “Hilton Portland Downtown” property. It’s literally a 15 second walk across the street. Samantha and Sarah made it right and communicated what caused the mix up. No issues at all, just a little confusion but they were great!
