How to Get There
We had a lovely stay at your hotel, arrived on Saturday purchased many delightful things in the nearby shops, had a fabulous dinner at the little French restaurant, cocktails, wine and a fabulous 4 course meal. The next day we had a fantastic breakfast in the same restaurant, did a little more shopping and then at check out met the more nasty person I have ever come across at a 4 star hotel or any hotel for that matter.
She was rude, argumentative, and accused my friend of lying in so many words. Prior to this I had considered how fun this would be as something we girls could do a number of times a year, that sadly will not occur, since I would not subject myself to ever be treated like that again! You need to re-think your star rating if you keep someone like that on staff.
I sent this above email message to them almost 3 weeks ago and have never gotten a response of any kind! I It surprises me that management di not think it was worth looking into,
When I come to Eugene to visit my daughter (student at University of Oregon) I always stay at the Inn at the 5th. The staff, from day one, have made me feel at home. Special shout outs to Jessica, Anthony, both Emily's, Chad and housekeeping along with other staff members that always remember my name! My daughter had a lease on a nightmare of a house for her upcoming year at school. My 3 day stay turned into a 7 day stay to hep her find a new place and move out...and the staff helped us with so many details. The hotel is located next to a darling restaurant called Marche. Truly a gem of a hotel in Eugene. The staff make this hotel professional yet charming.
We have stayed at this hotel at least a half dozen times, and we always enjoy our stay. The rooms are attractive and large as are the bathrooms. The gas fireplaces in most of the rooms are an added bonus on a dreary day. But most of all, the staff really makes this place. The people at the front desks are always pleasant and helpful, and the car valets deserve an extra star. We travel with folding bikes, and they have always been helpful with handling these, a task that is extra work for them. The hotel is located in an appealing complex, and many excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance. Also the bike path along the Willamette River is close by. This is one of our all-time favorite hotels.
