How to Get There
Our brief stay at Sea Sprite was perfect. I was looking for someplace right on the beach and it didn’t disappoint. Walk right out to Haystack Rock! The office staff was great when I called and told them we would be late in arriving. Our key was left for us with directions to our room. The suite was clean and comfortable with a comfortable bed. The kitchenette provided us what we needed to make dinner after a long ride. We will stay here again!
Sea Spirit has separate cottages that are ocean front with kitchens. The location is great for walks to Haystack Rock or town. Our cottage had 2bedrooms and was very nice. The office has a free washer and dryer, and since we were on a 3 week road trip, this came in very helpful. Checking was very easy. This was a good place to stay for 2 nights.
We arrived late from PDX and our key and instructions were all in the mailbox at the office just as we were emailed it would be. The room was clean, sunny and very cute for the two of us. The kitchen has what you need and the view can't be beat. Right out our door (1B) is a small grassy area where we sat to enjoy the ocean view and the starry nights. Extra blankets are in the room for sitting outside when it's chilly. Easily walk up the road or the beach into town (less than a mile) for meals or supplies. If you are there in August, pick some blackberries across the driveway -- delicious! We would definitely stay here again -- Cannon Beach is beautiful and the town is so cute.
I really enjoyed the views from this small suite. The kitchenette was fully functional and quite clean. The bed was comfortable and the weather wonderful. the fold out couch was suboptimal, and the wi-fi should not be offered as an amenity. The connectivity was terrible and it kept bumping me off.
I can't review the other rooms, but 1a is really small (250 sq ft?) with worn out carpet. It is otherwise nicely decorated and clean. What they call a partial view is barely a view. From the bed and micro- dinette, the view is of the cars and the parking lot. A neiboring house and bushes are in the background. Only if you stand up can you see a glimpse of distant water. While 1a is close to the beach, I wouldn't stay again. Rather than the sound of waves, you hear tire crunching parking lot gravel.
