How to Get There
This Hotel could use a modernization, rooms were ok but definitely need an upgrade, old and musty smelling, air conditioning units are loud and work marginally, the $17 / Day Parking fee should not be charged to hotel guests. definately wont stay here again, would rather pay a little extra to get a better nights stay.
Inadequate parking for number of rooms available. Water, especially warm felt sticky. When I got home to get a real shower, whatever was in the water came off in my home shower. Front desk somewhat aloof and self-absorbed.
Horrible experience. Please stay somewhere else. Property is pretty but the room and customer service and attitude were horrible. We were charged fees that we were told we would not be, we had a request a refrigerator after arrival and our room smelled horrible moist and moldy. They changed our room immediately as if they had heard this about that room before and weren't surprised. Line to check is was long. Staff not apologetic about problems, just had an attitude. Won't ever stay here again.
I expected more from a Hilton property. I always thought Double Trees were supposed to be a step up from Hampton properties. Not this particular property.
Location was nice. Front desk staff were AWESOME. Pleasant, flexible & efficient. LOVED the fresh baked cookie at check in! As close as hotel is to the airport, I never heard any airplane noise.
I didn't get to try the breakfast items - I think I misunderstood whether or not I was eligible for comp meal due to my status.
The room: In need of some updated furniture. I think there was 1 lamp that had usb ports, but not near the bed. Pillows were awful! Never got more than a couple of hrs of sleep throughout evening. Suffered next day w/pain in my neck. Bedside desk lamps caked with dust - there isn't too much furniture in the room, so I was very surprised to see all that dust. Looks like there used to be a refrigerator in the room, since removed. Bath amenities were only average. No way to control air flow, other than to have either high/low, hot/cold.
$17 to self park! I believe most/all of the hotels in the area charge outrageous fees to park..
I found a great deal on room rate. If I needed to stay in the area again & was able to get similar rate, I would certainly consider it & bring a pillow from home.
Lobby was nice and staff was Great. It was getting towards the end of breakfast and the french toast dried up. I would have ordered from the menu but no one ever asked me. They just took my money, said welcome to the buffet and walked off. I would stay here again, it's a good spot overall.
