How to Get There
This is an interesting setup. It's all about coming to the property and relaxing at every level..
The spa part is inside what looks like a salon/spa.. don't be fooled walk right in and start getting acquainted with everything. The spa closes at 630 pm. So get in there during the day. But is a really nice sauna and steam room. Him and hers are separated. There is water and and little perks sitting around. This part is included with the general fee for pools and grounds.
Then there is the pay to play part.. many massages and skin care treatments. Around $80- $175 or so plus tip.
At the front desk Erika was amazing. I wanted the balcony with the sea view. It was a big part of this trip. Somehow the booking went wrong?? Anyway. She fixed it and I got a sweet room up on the 9th with a really nice view. She was super patient and smiled the whole time. I really appreciate it because it was raining.. but I was still able to enjoy the ocean. Saved my experience.
I can’t believe that this hotel is considered a Marriott resort! The rooms smell awful (even my husband who is always congested could smell the odor). We have changed rooms twice. The sheets are stained yellow and the carpet is so worn and old! And this hotel charges for parking and a resort fee even though we will not be using their services. We are elite members, and they have offered us nothing. We came for a special event, but will never again.
I stayed here for a work trip and haven't been back to this hotel since. The location is good since Fashion Island is right across the street, but the hotel is lacking. The gym is small and the rooms are outdated. The hairdryers are super old too. Wouldn't stay here again and certainly wouldn't book this "resort" for any type of vacation.
I stayed in this place a few times in past year. It's not a new place, but is very nice, very clean, quiet. The location is conveniently close to restaurants, etc. Short drive, reasonable walk. Nice pool area, restaurant onsite. Since I go to this area for business often, it's one of the places on my list for lodging!
Rooms have extremely noisy, intermittent air conditioning and fridge. Woke up every five minutes due to one or the other. Room service breakfast was very low quality, and was served orange juice in lipstick stained glass. Whole place is drab and desperately in need of investment.
