How to Get There
In the middle of the first night we were there, we discovered a water leak in the ceiling that drenched the floor and everything in the bathroom. We called maintenance and they responded immediately, but their were no other rooms available. We left and spent the next 6 hos drive around Newport Beech and Balboa Island. They did comp the first night stay and gave us a $75 credit at the bar.
The staff is really nice, and the location is impeccable but the rooms are lacking. Lot's of great amenities but if you're booking a room just to spend the night, maybe look elsewhere. Rooms are visually cold and we had old toiletries...The self parking is really awkward and expensive for the location...
Staff is wonderful, they have a wide variety for items you may have left at home. While there are no microwaves in the room, if you ask they will bring you one free of charge. They also provided me at my request with a vanity light up makeup mirror. Front desk staff are very responsive and helpful. The rooms tend to be a bit humid even with the ac on so I had to crack my sliding door a bit. Any room in the lobby building is not recommended, you can hear all the noise from the weekend drinkers down at the bar and you can hear everything in the next rooms. I didn't get much sleep the five days I was there.
