How to Get There
My Wife and I stayed 4/12-4/14. I am thrilled to report that The Ranch at Laguna Beach exceeded my expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated to excellent customer service. The food was a great value. For the price you DID receive a great amount of food and the quality of the food was excellent. The room was very nice and clean. We had zero issues with noise. The double vanity, LARGE and plenty of hot water shower, clean and nice bed, and excellent overall room were wonderfully appreciated.
The room had curtains to drown out the sun and provided us a dark room for sleeping in. The AC in the room was excellent. We like it cold at night, and the AC accomplished the job.
Each room apparently has an "ipad" tablet type device. Information and services about the resort were accessible through this. We ordered breakfast room service for the following day, at 11pm. Our food arrived on time via EXCELLENTLY courteous service. If we ever wanted a ride around the hotel campus (because we were lazy or preparing to leave) a golf cart would arrive to pick us up at our request.
During our stay I had a big time headache and called the front desk at 1am, to see if by chance they had any advil. They did, and it was brought to me immediately (via golf cart ha). I am serious when I say they are excellent with their customer service here.
We used valet for my truck and that group of young men was excellent in their professionalism and handling of my truck (which is bigger than most cars lol)
Front desk staff, excellent. Pool staff, excellent.
Pool was clean, music was a nice touch, water was warm and the saline was a NICE alternative to chlorine. Grounds of the hotel were excellent. Live music outside the Harvest restaurant was GREAT. A wedding was going on and it made us wish we had chosen to get married there.
This property is tucked into the laguna canyon which means one thing: zero cell service. This made no issues for us. The wifi connection was excellent everywhere. We enabled wifi calling at instruction from the hotel, and everything was just fine.
We were lucky to have GREEN hills and a nice day of weather. Glad we were able to stay here. The restaurant I will also review in another review. It too, was EXCELLENT.
patio was cool. nice chairs and a nice lawn area. our room was 1102, very close to the pool, but not close enough to HEAR the pool.
Wow, this place really under performed. The pool is a joke. More like a kids community pool. Do not pay over $200 for these rooms, $150 is more like it. They are decent inside, but small. Almost zero view in most of them of the beautiful valley the hotel is set in. The little happy hour deck is nice up top and the restaurant looks decent but I’m not gonna take my chances having dinner there. The rooms are way over priced. One positive is that the staff has been phenomenal.
Laguna Beach is on the top of the list for people who live in Los Angeles and who want to get away for a short stacation. The Ranch exceeded all my expectation. Located right in the middle of the canyon, surrounded by mountains, it has a very comfy local vibe but also attracts a lot of international tourists. Needles to say that it’s the perfect place for golf lovers. The Ranch features a lot of local performers. Music is a big part of the vibe. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the staff is super friendly. The location is perfect for celebrations and weddings.
The Ranch at Laguna Beach is a wonderful place to stay in Orange County.
This is a beautiful and quiet hotel located in a stunning canyon setting.
The rooms are decorated very well and are a good size and good value, we stayed in a 2 Bedroom suite and it was perfect for a family of four, but I think the Studio Suites would be fine as well for a family.
All of the staff were so nice and accommodating, they seemed happy to be working at this hotel.
The shuttle to the beach is easy and it is just a quick walk under PCH in a tunnel to get to a really nice beach. I do wish that the Lost Pier cafe was open past 3 pm because we were not able to get beach chairs and towels by the time we arrived at the beach, or perhaps have them available to take from the resort to the beach. We drove into the main part of Laguna Beach daily which took about 5-10 minutes. What I really loved about this resort is the canyon setting.
All perfect! Service from the moment we arrived, gorgeous room (got an upgrade to a one bedroom suite), views, stunning property, amazing restaurant. Can’t wait to return. A most relaxing stay. Well done!
