How to Get There
Because of multiple flight mishaps and last minute cancellations, landed at this trendy and hip hotel. What an experience! The “hi” life ~~ that’s for sure! Was sipping Long Island near the pool area at 11pm gazing at the moon and stars, and I, at that point feel in love with Cali’s climate and the true lifestyle. Definite recommend for trendy young couples and the people that would like a taste of the Sophisticated and posh/healthy lifestyle. My style.
The Irvine Company owned this hotel when it was a Hyatt. For some reason (probably $), they chose to drop out of being a Hyatt franchise and operate the hotel independently. I don't think this has worked out very well for them notwithstanding they operate Pelican Hill Resort very well. It feels like management can't make up its mind on what to do with the hotel. On one hand they do cutesy things like have you text your room-service order to some number (without explanation on how that all works), but they don't include food from the restaurant on the room-service options (just stuff from their "market"). I upgraded to a fancier room, but it was clearly a tired old Hyatt room. It's a pretty big hotel and yet there was only one person manning the front desk, resulting in substantial lines from time to time. I get the sense that their focus is on the meeting space, which seems to be substantial and looks like it's well run. The pool area looks nice too. Anyway, I think I'm heading back to the DoubleTree or the Courtyard on my next visit to Irvine.
We stay here at least twice a year just to get away. Everything you need to relax and have a good time is inside. The rooms are spacious and clean. You can dine in the resturant, grab a pizza or sushi from the convience store along with a wide variety of drinks and snacks to choose from. The happy hour around the fire pit with a good strong drinks. In thr evening the bar has a live dj. Club 12 is extra but comes with a private lobby, outside area, deliciuos appetizers, snacks and drinks. Love to hang here!! Most important evetything is reasonably priced!!! even room service😮
My family and I stayed here on a recent trip to Orange County. The hotel was nice and the service was good. We ordered room service when we arrived (we got in late about 10pm) and the service was quick and the pizza we got was really good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Irvine.
There are so many reasons I am giving such a bad review. Let me count the ways, no TV in my room or in the entire hotel for 48 hours? No hangers in my closet and when I wanted to wash my hands both faucets only poured out scalding hot water. The staff wasn't very friendly either.
