How to Get There
A great beachfront property. The amenities (pool, spa, restaurant) were as expected from a Hilton property. We were upgraded to a guest room with an ocean view. The room was very comfortable temperature-wise and quiet. There as generous drawer-space and very good lighting. The WIFI was good quality and easy to use. We will happily stay here again.
We had the pleasure of staying for a week and would definitely return. Great location, very friendly and helpful team. Room was clean and tidy, although it could do with an update - guess the rooms in the new Twin Dolphin Tower are more contemporary. There was some construction work in progress, however, we were on the 10th for so it wasn't too intrusive.

Property and location:
The property is outstanding, it rivals any other resort style Hilton anywhere. All common areas have been recently renovated and the finishes are outstanding. Located on a busy stretch of PCH walking distance to ultra nice outdoor mall and fun laid back downtown Huntington beach.
I booked a king with points in the huntington tower and that was the room selected. NO UPGRADES will be given at this hotel and many have referenced in other reviews. Depending on availability you may be able to upgrade within the tower you have booked for $30-50 a night, we did not. Huntington tower rooms are actually just fine, they are your standard hilton brand room at any Hilton USA, again very nice and usable.
The final night we upgraded to the 1 year old twin dolphin tower, room 782 and it was extremely impressive. The interior designer did an amazing job, on this tower, just very cool is all I can say. The Dolphin tower is all suites and could accommodate kids if you were traveling as a family.
The beach area which is probably 200 yards from the property across PCH is great. Sand beach is large so there is plenty of room to spread out and find space. Surf is pretty big here, so if you have small children consider they would need to be advanced swimmers to safely enjoy. Currently there is 1 pool open with another set to open by summer, the current pool is large and has beach entry and water slides for kids. There is a poolside bar and waiters that come around, both of which we utilized and enjoyed.
Hot breakfast was excellent, we ordered menu items and they were excellent and consistent. Drinks by the pool were balanced and made with proper technique.
Pros: great property, beautiful setting with tons to do right outside the doors. 20 mins to John Wayne OC Airport and 35 minutes to Long Beach, uber will run you $25 and $35 so access is easy and efficient. Rooms, common areas, rooftop bar, all great.
Cons: Dogs are allowed so you will hear and see them during the stay, including around the pool area. This is a mostly family hotel and there is no Hilton Honors floor so be prepared for noise. We experienced 2 of 4 nights kids and pets that woke us up which was frustrating. If you are looking for a quiet getaway this is unfortunately probably not the place for you.
Staff: Every single employee we encountered was fantastic, we were just blown away at the hospitality. Being from Texas/South we didn't know what to expect and just cannot say enough about how gracious they were. Michael and Austin both at the front desk were two that really went above and beyond for us!
This experience was very good but the bad nights of sleep due to hotel management policies of no designated hilton honors floor and pets allowed (which I imagine could be worse at full occupancy) holds this back from being an excellent rating. As a frequent business traveler and parent of small children (heck we went out of town to get a good night sleep) bad nights sleep are just too costly these days so I can't give 5 stars.
Extremely friendly, personable and helpful staff (especially front desk, valets, pool and restaurant staff). Top notch service with no pretension.
It's in a great location with great amenities (pool, water slide, hot tub). I especially appreciate that the front desk helped us out after I accidentally made the reservation for the weekend prior. A great weekend getaway.
Stayed at the Waterfront for business, pleased with all services in this hotel. Staff was very nice and the restaurant was amazing. Definitely recommend staying here, also had a great view from my room.
