How to Get There
Summary: a wonderful place to stay in Southern California, if you can afford it. My guess is this hotel has 3 types of guests: (1) business travelers on their company's credit card, (2) Rich folk, and (3) People who found a great deal on a third-party booking site, or through Marriott rewards. If you are the third type beware of the price of parking, and the price of almost anything associated with the hotel.
the good: pretty good size, amazing bed and pillows (lots of pillows), many rooms have a decent view, good temp control, nice shower and bath combo, robe, quiet, very clean, good maid service, nice shampoo and conditioner
bad: I didn't notice a book that explained where everything was in the hotel
The good: most of the staff is very helpful
the bad: some of the staff, like people who help with your luggage, will be expecting tips. Not really unfair of them but for those who aren't used to it be ready.
Good: Starbucks, restaurant, 24 hour room service, pool, spa, snacks for sale, shuttle that takes you to places in addition to the airport.
Bad: self parking $29 a night, Valet $34 - if you are okay walking and do some google searching you can find third party websites that sell cheaper spots. If you can afford it the parking is convenient. breakfast is there but very expensive, the food is all very expensive. Location:
Good - lots of shops and restaurants, beautiful scenery, grass, man made lakes - central to everything - Disneyland, the beach, etc. Will need to take uber, car, or hotel shuttle to get to many places.
The hotel is excellent on all points, from cleanliness, to staff friendliness/helpfulness, to condition of facilities, very beyond expectations.
The only setback was the availability of the pool, as there was company party that closed the pool to other guests. Also the redo of the landscaping in front of the hotel lent a very bad smell (fertilizer) upon exiting and entering the hotel.
Parking at self park for 29 was a pretty big hit, but better than valet at about 9 dollars more. But the parking garage is pretty close by.
I recommend staying at this hotel, but be prepared in parking fees and work that into your consideration as the cost of the hotel as a whole. Very nice stay, I would definitely come back in the future.
I travel for a living as I’m sure most of you do. In this life it’s the little things that go a long way. When someone is not will to work with you it says a lot about that place. I was due to travel there and got rerouted and called the platinum desk for help. They cancelled the reservation and booked me in another hotel location same chain. Well that was not good enough for Mr. Oineza who does not want business people that may have a change in plans to stay. If I were you I would not stay here any take the chance of anything else going wrong and having this place help you out. If he is going to be so unyielding you can rest assured any little thing you may need will not be easy to come by. Avoid this hotel!!
The staff was friendly. They took care of any need we had, and we had one at least. Room 1418 has a gfreat view over the area and we could see the Disneyland fireworks from our room at around 9pm. They have a Starbucks cafe in the lobby. Room was clean, has a fridge, bathroom clean.
We were treated like royalty! Room was excellent. Friendly staff members each person was friendly and very helpful. I’m definitely going to stay there again. The only problem was parking which was $29 per night, which I had no knowledge of until arriving. $29 for self parking in the garage and $38 for valet. They’ll give you a parking pass to use to come and go as you please and just add it to your final charges.
