How to Get There
My family loved this hotel. The staff was incredibly warm and helpful. It is walkable to Disneyland but it is only five dollars for a round trip bus to the parks. The ART busses are similar to the busses at Disney World. I preferred to just take the bus since the stop is literally steps from the lobby.
It was nice that there was a Hertz rental car right on the premise and it made it very easy to do a beach day.
We ate at Starbucks a few times and also at the pizza place called slice. We also had the breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant and it was very good and reasonably priced especially since kids eats free.
The room was very modern and clean. Absolutely no complaints. My kids loved having access to our Netflix on the smart tv and also really liked the pool. We look forward to a return visit this summer.
The hotel is close to Disney (about 1mile walk, along a sidewalk well shaded and lined with palm trees). The hotel rooms were clean, comfortable, and had HBOgo and room service. Definitely will stay here again next time visiting family in the area.
We took a mini vacay for Spring Break and was very pleased with the Marriott! It was a great location, though after a day of walking at the parks we decided to Uber back (less than $10!). Very business oriented with the proximity to the Convention Center, but it was OK. The room was comfortable and newly renovated. A few of the employees that should be recognized are William at the Concierge, Vivienne at the pool/lounge and Justus at the valet (who did a dance off with my son.). They truly made the stay even more memorable. The food was delicious (try the ahi poke) and not overly priced. My only disappointment was that the pool wasn't warmer but I assume it warms up as the weather does.
The hotel was well maintained the room was excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful especially William the concierge.
The only thing that let it down was that we wanted some peace and quiet time by the pool for an hour or so a day and the workmen made it impossible to have any peace.
Great place for Disney, the shuttle service is good
Thanks to platinum status, we got triple upgraded from the base room to a "city view refurbished" room. The room was recently retrofitted with new, modern furnishings, but the guts of the room felt like they hadn't been upgraded since the 80s. Specifically, the in-room A/C compressor was super loud, which prevented us from getting a good nights' rest, as it would come on/off every 20-30 minutes to keep the room cool enough to sleep. Opening the window isn't an option due to street noise and guest noise (the hotel attracts a lot of kids).
