Nice View of the Harbour from Some Rooms

This hotel appears to be a convention center hotel with a mix of mostly business people and some tourists. The hotel itself felt a little old and tired compared to all the new buildings going up in downtown Toronto, but the rooms with views and the attentive front desk staff made up for it.

When we tried to check in early, we were told by the valet staff that the hotel was at 100% occupancy and the earliest we could check in was 3PM. It was not even possible to park our car at the hotel since they were completely full. This ended up working out because there is cheaper 24 hour parking a few blocks from the hotel. I recommend that if you are staying a few nights and want to save on the valet overnight parking. The valet staff ended up being incorrect as well because we were able to check in around noon time at the front desk.

The hotel is in a good location with easy walking distance to many of the tourist sites in downtown Toronto including the baseball stadium. Additionally, the hotel has a nice pool with generous hours.

Rooms that are closer to the elevator bank appear to have nicer views of the harbour. The room appeared clean and updated.

The breakfast buffet was a highlight with numerous options that were constantly replenished.

Overall, a good hotel that I would consider staying in again.

Just finished another 7 day stay while at the Toronto Film Festival. This is my favorite hotel anywhere for both 2018 and 2019. A culture has been created with extraordinary service in every area. It is a level above everyplace else. There is no unsolvable problem , nothing that can’t be achieved. The whole team are deeply committed to the satisfaction of the guest. The restaurant staff are tireless. Front desk know there job and do it graciously toward the gues. Restauraunt and lobby bar flawless . I almost can’t do justice to the experience I’ve received.

Gorgeous views

The outside and in the lobby area were magnificent - grand and shiny. We were on the 26th floor, South Tower, and had wonderful dual aspect windows with views of the lake and the
CN tower. The first night we had a thunderstorm, and the views were breathtaking.

Everything was comfortable but shabby. The furniture was shabby - scratched and battered, and the wallpaper had started to peel a little at the edges. The chaise longue under the window - a nice idea- was losing its stuffing underneath. I think the rooms are due a make-over.

Having said that, breakfast, though expensive, was great. Valet parking is extra at $50, and hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay, but its main draw were the views. Not sure I would have paid so much for the rest of it!
