Just want to say that I will definitely be back!! I loved the Grand Hotel and suites. The hotel is just a walk away from many restaurants and the Eaton’s mall!! The rooms were great and well equipped with the fridge and a microwave. I had room service and it was quite delectable!! We also love the hot tub on the terrace with the big screen showing 1980s videos. And I enjoyed working out at the fitness room. My massage was quite lovely! I love the personal touch of the card with a free drink at the bar! Grand hotel and suites covered all angles!! Free Granny Smith apples too!! You need to stay here at least once!!!

Good hotel for our purposes

We’ve just stayed 5 nights at the Grand and overall are happy with the experience. For us a hotel in just a place to sleep, we were out exploring all day. The room was comfortable and much quieter than I expected for a city location. Breakfast was included in the room rate and there was a good selection. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
I think it’s fair to say the rooms are a little tired, but they were clean and had everything we needed.
One reviewer comments on Jarvis Street being potentially unsafe to walk on. There is clearly an issue with homeless people in the area. However we walked to the hotel every night and on no occasion did we feel unsafe.

Great for families and couples.

I have stayed at The Grand many times and always appreciate the staff and amenities there. Check in is always smooth and the lobby is very nicely decorated. 4 elevators service the building. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. The pool is a very nice room with columns and a catwalk with atrium like windows. A hot tub is available here, but the roof top ones are the place to go. In the evening there are usually movies or videos playing on the big screen. The lit up city is neat to see. Comfortable beds and a nice bathroom complete the stay. Included buffet breakfast is a great way to conclude your visit.

Not sure if I should give you the good or the bad news first??
The good news, the room was clean enough and that’s all I can really come up with.
Now for the bad news, the furniture was cheap and dated. The room was dark and depressing. The layout of the room was awkward with a huge area for the sitting room and a closet like room for bedroom. We had planned on walking to a restaurant for dinner but were advised that we should take a cab the few blocks instead because the area really wasn’t that safe. I really wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel.

fantastic time at the Grand

we had a full suite at the grand with 2 bedrooms(there was 4 of so this was perfect).

Upon arriving we were greeted by the doormen and helped with our baggage, check in was smooth and friendly. took the lift up to our room and was pleasantly surprised by the space of the room. We were shown all of the amenities by the doormen(who it turns out was also from the uk). He made sure we knew where the heating controls were as the cold snap was on its way.

the view from our room was over the entrance of the hotel and Jarvis street, one small issue was the roadworks and the noise they created(nothing to do with the hotel).

We had a great nights sleep in the comfortable beds, went down for an awesome breakfast! we wrapped up and headed down to the distillery district for the christmas market.

Most attractions are well within walking distance, we averaged about 15,000 steps everyday.

The staff here were all awesome and this for me makes the place, they booked tables for us and sent extra coffee & water as requested.

It does have a rooftop hot tubs and an indoor pool so the place is great aswell!

overall a brilliant time at the grand, thank you to everyone that made it great especially the doormen for arranging a great tour of Niagra falls and for making sure we had everything we needed. If we are back in Toronto i'll definitely return here.
