Pretty Good Spot, Recommended...

I've walked by this place often, but never stayed here before. It's in a very central location, right on the PATH (the underground pedestrian walkway), and it's a big place. Very tall building, lots of rooms, and the entry area is expansive. Several restaurants (didn't try any of them, but they looked popular), and this a convention venue, so the lobby area is always buzzing. The room was spacious and comfortable. This is not a new building, so you can see some signs of wear here and there. But it's clean, and nice, and comfortable. And the whole downtown is walkable from here. Like all Toronto downtown hotels, it's expensive, but not crazy expensive like some others nearby. Service was just fine.

Great hotel, perfect location and wonderful customer service

Stayed 4 nights with the Sheraton and it was wonderful! Called in advance to confirm a late check in and made some extra requests if it was possible where staff said they would do what they could, which was great. Upon arrival after a long day of travel was informed our room would have all of our requests for free, we got free wifi and were given a credit to spend in the hotel. We have no idea what we did to get such special treatment but it was really appreciated! The front desk staff were so nice and we had breakfast in the hotel which was also great. The downtown location made it very easy to get around. One of the best hotel stays in all my many trips to Toronto would highly recommend!

Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a higher floor. Front desk was friendly and we were able to check in at 12:00 which was a plus since we drove 7 hours from NYC. Room had a nice view of the CN Tower. However, we heard a rattling sound from the ceiling. Not a constant noise, it was every 2 minutes. Sounded like the elevator cables or shaft. We asked for another room and we were upgraded again to a higher floor. BUT the same noise was heard from our room. I think the same side of the hotel rooms had this noise issue. We were moved to a 3rd room but the opposite side now facing City Hall and overlooking Toronto Sign. At last, nice and quiet. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. if you're a light sleeper, don't bother with rooms overlooking CN Tower. Take the opposite side.
Location was great and you can walk to St. Lawrence Market (15 mins). All sites were within walking distance. We parked across the street, it was cheaper than valet in the hotel and it was very convenient.
