Amazing trip in Toronto
Reviewed 2 days ago

Everything about our stay at the Delta Hotel was incredible. The room was very clean, tastefully decorated and what a view. We were on the 45th floor. Our room included access to the Club Lounge. This was a great spot to sit and look out over the city, grab a coffee and maybe socialize. We had dinner in the SOCO restaurant downstairs. What an incredible meal. My husband is very seldom satisfied with a restaurant meal. He really enjoyed it. The prices were not bad for the meal considering the quality of the food. I have to say the creme brule was incredible for dessert. The breakfast buffet was also very good. The variety and quality of the food was excellent. Staff was always very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return.

Great hotel ~ perfect location for sporting events

Our family recently stayed at the Delta. We all loved the hotel not only because of its location to many things downtown Toronto has to offer, but also because of the view we had of Lake Ontario from a high floor room as well as the cleanliness of our rooms (spotless to be honest). We are from the U.S. and it was our first time to Toronto so we didn't know what to expect. We felt we hit the jackpot with The Delta because it is connected to the PATH, which is an underground walkway that takes you to various places in Toronto without ever really having to go outside!! It was amazing!! We walked, without coats, to Scotiabank arena for a Maple Leafs game because the PATH connects the arena and the hotel! It was fantastic. We walked, without coats, to the Hockey Hall of
Fame. We walked to the CN Tower (which is right next to the Delta as well as the Rogers Center baseball stadium and Ripley's Aquarium) and the PATH took us right there, from the hotel, no need to really go outside other than get to the entrance of the CN Tower (maybe a 30 second walk outside). You can even walk from Union Station right to the Delta and never go outdoors. The location of the Delta makes visiting Toronto easy.

The staff are all smiles and so incredibly helpful. We weren't in the check-in line for more than a minute when we were offered complimentary bottled water while we waited. The employees completely understand the traveler and their immediate needs. However, and this is why I gave 4 stars and not 5 stars, check-in is at 3pm and we had booked 2 rooms but only 1 room was ready. We were all so tired from traveling and just wanted to relax but only 1 room was ready at check-in. We managed and dealt with it just fine, but we were just tired and slightly disappointed. Had both rooms been ready I would definitely have given 5 stars. I will add that our 2nd room became available within 30 minutes of us arriving, but we had to go back downstairs and wait again to check in. It was kind of a pain, but then again it really wasn't that big a deal. I can see if that it would be a huge deal if you have little children with you, but ours are older so we managed the inconveinance.

The rooms were really nice and very clean. Beds are comfie. I did request, ahead of time, extra foam pillows and extra bath towels, though I am sure requesting at the time of stay would be fine as everyone who works here is super nice and helpful and they do everything with a smile. The bathroom door is a sliding door so just keep in mind that it slides and hits hard when it closes. The walls are a little thin. We had a group next door that were loud after the Maple Leafs game and we could hear everything they were saying until they settled down, but again, minor inconveniance and we went back to sleep quickly enough.

Keep in mind ... our room did not have a mini fridge or microwave. Many hotels we have stayed in do, but not ours here so if cold drinks or a late snack of microwave popcorn are your thing, then this may not be the best hotel option for you.

The food is amazing. Possibly the best food I have eaten at a hotel. The breakfast buffet is totally worth the money. Everything we ate was delicious!! We even ordered room service for dinner one night and it was easy, quick and delicious!! Really good coffee too!! We never did get around to trying the Whiskey Bar, but it was pretty crowded on a nightly basis. It is right in the lobby of the hotel which makes it really fun too!

Overall I would definitely recommend the Delta. Gorgeous hotel, easy access to many attractions, clean, great food, friendly and helpful employees and was just the perfect location for all we wanted to see and do while in Toronto. If you are going to a Maple Leafs game, Raptors game or a Blue Jays game this hotel is literally right there with no worries about having to catch a cab or a train. Have a great time!! I know we did!!!

Comfortable bed, quality view, excellent service
Reviewed 4 days ago

On a business trip to Toronto, and experienced this delightful hotel. First off, every year they do clean the hot tub and so there is a week that it's out of service. This is a good thing because it means they do regular maintenance that many hotels kind of skip out on. If this is an amenity that you care about, check before you book. I was on the 22nd floor and I had a great view of so many lights in the city and the train station. If you are sensitive to train noise you might want to be aware that this is right next to the station. I loved that this place was near the train station as it meant an easy walk from the station to the hotel all via the PATH system of walkways. The bed was comfortable, the rooms were clean. I loved having the hot water kettle in the room which I could use to make tea/coffee or cup of soup. I had room service a few times and it was better quality room service than I've ever had. There aren't a lot of options, but I loved the avocado protein bowl salad. I didn't hear any noise from nearby rooms so I don't know if the quality of the walls is great or I just had fantastic folks staying near me. It was a corner room so tons of windows which gave me such a great view of the snow falling.

I stayed here recently with my family to attend a function at the Scotia Bank Arena. I knew it was close, but didn't realize just how close, close was. We were able to either take the PATH and stay warm and dry, or walk outside. This is an awesome hotel to base yourself out of for either a Leaf/Raptors game in the winter, or a Jays game in the summer.

The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. The check in process was very quick and easy. The valet parking was a breeze both in and the next day when I was leaving.

I have already booked my next stay in Toronto at this particular hotel. I could not recommend it more.

Hot tub out of service and room not cleaned during stay

Nice hotel, but room has not been cleaned for 2 days now. I was fine that it wasn’t cleaned after first night as I agreed to that on check in, but was told my bed would be changed and towels refreshed on day 2. Nope. Bed not made, no new towels no replacement of coffee and to add to this I decided it would be nice to go soak in the hot tub. Nope that is broken too.

I’m not a fussy traveler, but for the cost of the rooms I would expect that my room would be cleaned with fresh towels and coffee replaced.
