How to Get There
We just held a large conference (350 people) at Queen's Landing and it was an amazing sucess due to the staff at Queen's Landing Hotel! The staff at Queen's Landing Hotel were outstanding: Marina, Peggy, Paul and Eugene were magnificient! The best we've ever worked with! They truly are exceptional at what they do. They value their clients and are phenomenal at what they do. The food and desserts were heavenly, mouth-watering and exquisite. The best we've had at any hotel! We can't wait to return to this fantastic hotel, to their staff and for the food!
We hosted a 3 day conference at Queen's Landing for an internal company meeting and due to the hotel's organization, hospitality and graciousness, the event went off without a hitch!
Staff & Service - The service and staff we received during our event was 10 out 10. The staff were extremely attentive, kind, and went out of there way to ensure our guests and our event staff were happy and taken care of. Peggy Cernick was our Conference Service Manager and she was outstanding. Ensuring every request was taken care of, she completely took care of our group and made our experience in planning the event flawless. Paul Kurek, the Conference Operations Manager was also very helpful with requests on site and handling them quickly and diligently.
The Georgian Ballroom was a beautiful space to host our General Session. It has a lovely atrium with tons of natural light and it's off of a Terrace if any attendees wanted to get some fresh air and enjoy the sunshine.
The in house AV Team at Freeman were also incredible. Rich Nagy was fantastic to deal with and his team went above and beyond for us, it was the Raptors Finals Game 6 and our attendees really wanted to watch the game. So we set up shop in the General Session room, our AV operator, Ken, who already worked an 8 hour day, stayed with us to manage the AV so we could enjoy the Raptors winning game. It was truly special and I think a moment that our attendees won't soon forget.
Overall fantastic experience! Would recommend Queen's Landing for a corporate event any day!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Queens Landing on May 26, 2019. It was my dream wedding! Rikki Green, our wedding coordinator did a fantastic job from beginning to end. The team of chefs/bakery team did an outstanding job on our food. Everything was delicious and received rave reviews from our guests. The staff made us feel very welcome and were able to assist us with whatever last minute details we needed. The venue is so pretty and we were able to use the outside courtyard as well for our cocktail hour. If you are looking for a wedding venue, chose Queens Landing. You won't be disappointed!
Was very disappointed with our weekend stay. We have always enjoyed the hotel before
We stay in the dockmaster house and have enjoyed it but this weekend was a disaster. When we checked in told staff we had a service dog that was registered ,which was not a problem no one mentioned a 35.00 fee for her. When we got to room air condition was not work and none of the windows open . I will say engineering staf was plesant and told us yes the a.c. was broken but he would see what he could do. He came back with a portable unit. That cooled part of room but not whole suite. So parts were uncomfortable. On check out we question the pet charge as it was a service dog and was toldit did not apply to dock house. But after some discussion fee was removed and were told they would not remove it in future visits. Between the A.C. not working and the fee it made for a unpleasant experience. I will say i will find anotherhotel to stay at on future visits.
Had a wonderful weekend at Niagara-on-the-Lake. We stayed Friday-Saturday at the Queens Landing, our package included breakfast and dinner on Saturday.
The rooms were very nice - comfortable bed, clean bathroom. You can order special pillows if you desire but we did not. WiFi is very good throughout the hotel - the only downside is the TV...no HD channels or Smart TV's. These are "first world problems" of course but for the price you pay to stay in a resort which is marketed as a 5 star luxury hotel it should just be a given. We had great weather so we didn't spend much time in the room but we did watch the Raptor's Game 4 in stretched out standard def...it's just something that in this day and age should be an automatic I think. Another strange thing was the lack of blackout curtains...we had one curtain that only covered half of the window? Very strange and just another thing that I think a "Luxury" resort would have.
Our Saturday Night dinner was at the Cannery Restaurant at the Pillar and Post. There is a free shuttle offered by the hotel which is nice. Dinner was very good and the restaurant is beautiful with a very nice atmosphere and ambiance - highly recommend.
Had breakfast both mornings in the Bacchus Lounge of Queens Landing. We ordered off the menu but there is an option for buffet if you desire. Good food and great service both mornings - shout out specifically to Stephanie on Saturday morning who was tremendous!
Last thing - we were overcharged on our invoice that was left under our door. As I mentioned our package included breakfast on the Saturday and dinner on Saturday night...the invoice we received included a charge for our Saturday breakfast. We went to the front desk and while they did remove the charge no-questions-asked there was no apology or acknowledgement that a mistake was made. It was strange. I would tell everyone to be sure to check your final bill as this may be something that happens frequently.
All in all I recommend the Queens Landing and would definitely return. The negatives I pointed out are just things that would enhance what already is a very beautiful hotel and a wonderful experience for us.
