The Cannery is the restaurant in The Pillar and Post Inn. The menu wasn’t super extensive but diverse enough that anyone can find something they like. And the presentation and quality of the dishes is off the chart fantastic! My wife had the prime rib and I had the salmon. Both are to die for great! Our waiter was knowledgeable, professional and personable. For dessert we had the apple carmel cheesecake. It was delicious! The restaurant itself is large, seats many and is beautiful! It was decked out for the holidays and whoever is responsible for that deserves a raise. If you’re in Niagara on the Lake this is an incredible place for dinner. Be warned however that quality like this isn’t cheap, but you won’t walk out feeling cheated. My wife exclaimed that this was the best meal she has ever had!

I stayed in what I thought was a prestigious hotel. Only to be blindsided by a disgusting theft that occurred. 8 couples went away on a Saturday night. The following day my friend's engagement ring was stolen along with a couple of other rings by the maid. She was the only one in the room other than my friend and her husband. We know this because her card was the only one that was swiped in that room. We've notified the CEO, the police and all pawnshops. The CEO and police Have done all that they say they can do. This wretched woman has stolen something so precious from my dear friend. Please BEWARE of your belongings do not bring any jewellery with you here or to any trip.

We have now stayed here on 2 different occasions. The staff are very friendly and professional, they aim to please. They gave us the room we requested which made us very happy as we feel it is a very special room to us. We will continue to go to the Pillar and Post on an annual basis (or more frequently if we can manage it :) ). the food is superb in the restaurant and pub! The salt water hot tub is so enjoyable at night. the location is perfect for strolling around town.

Great quiet get away

Enjoyed a quiet midweek get away that included being pampered in the spa with my spouse. Highly recommend and worth to splurge. On site services including spa and pools and dining can keep you there for the complete stay. But if feeling to need to walk around? Niagara on the lake is all around less than a 5 min stroll and you are among the shops.

Fresh, Clean and Professional

We were a large group celebrating the holidays together. There were 2 wedding parties also booked the weekend we were there. The rooms were quaint, clean and well cared for. The hotel itself was quiet. You would never have guessed there were several functions at one time. The staff are friendly and Professional. Whether for business or pleasure this is a great place to stay.
