How to Get There
Comfortable rooms, efficient check-in, vouchers make trip a little more affordable as restaurant rates are much higher in Niagara than in any other town/city in Ontario. I didn’t expect a mini fridge in the room was is always a bonus.
Parking rates are outdoor and $35 per night.....high price for less than 24hrs but at least it’s located on hotel property.
First time family visit to Niagara Falls nd we booked into the Oakes which quite simply overlooks itself just make sure you ask for s room looking towards the falls it’s amazing waking up to the view just unbelievable , room and staff are great very happy to stay again 👍
Having grown up in Niagara and regularly use local hotels for family visits I must say we were horribly disappointed. I complained about added fees before we even left for hotel... person claimed that the fee was not the tourist tax but a recycling fee used by owners for recycling and flower planting... what a JOKE... I am embarrassed to be from tourist gouging Niagara... I know from the locals that these fees are simply pocketed by the owner. They would have to plant plenty of flowers to use up the $$$$$ they collect on each bill.. the money is obviously not going into upgrades at the hotel or cleaning and recycling should be a cost of them doing business not recouped by fees charged on top of each guests bill. Good news is I will never recommend this hotel again to the people who are always asking me (where should we stay and eat in Niagara Falls). We were actually looking forward to staying there as my husband and I met in the oaks bar over forty years ago. One bright spot was dinner... we have enjoyed Remington’s often on trips home and the hotel owner also owns this great restaurant. Glad they are at least doing something right.SAD EX LOCAL
Great view of the falls. Loved heart shaped jacuzzi tub. Front desk staff was wonderful and very efficient. Forgot a cork screw and front desk handed us one with no hesitation.
Only down side room was a bit dated and smelled like fresh paint
The first night we had a horrible smell in our room. We asked for maintance to come twice, they never came.it smelled of sulphur or eggs, it was sickening. We had to ask for Kleenex. We has 2 literally in our box in our room. Not enough towels. The pool deck was so wet and very slippery. The one snack machine didnt work would not take the money to get chips. We were told our kids would eat breakfast for free and that did not happen we had to pay both mornings for them. we will not come back.
