Serious issue with billing department
Reviewed 16 hours ago

My family and I stayed at the Hilton for 1 night on February 6th, 2019. My credit card was charged for the full amount on February 8th, and I then discovered that my credit card had been charged again for the full amount on February 10th.
When I called the hotel to discuss this at 1030am, I was told I had to leave a message for the billing department and they would get back to me. I did just that and by 230pm, I still hadn’t received a call back. I called again at 230pm, explained the situation to the lady on the switchboard and asked if there was anyone I could speak with instead of being put through to voicemail again. She put me through to the voicemail again. When I pressed 0 to be sent back to the switchboard, the lady proceeded to transfer me to the billing department voicemail 5 times instead of actually speaking with me. I hung up and called back and spoke with the same lady on the switchboard and she was extremely rude to me. She was not interested in trying to help me at all, she did not once say that she understood my frustrations and she even spoke over me multiple times. Not very professional at all.
I called back again at 530pm and left another message, this time asking for a manager to return my call so I could discuss my concerns about the duplicate charge, as well as the interaction I had with the lady on the switchboard. All of this took place on February 14th and as of today, February 15th at 7pm, I have still not received a call back from anyone at the Hilton.
My credit card has been refunded for the duplicate charge (that never should’ve been put on my card in the first place) but I would still appreciate a call from a manager so I can discuss my concerns, and I would also appreciate an apology for all the hassle this situation caused me.
The hotel may be nice and the views gorgeous, but the service when you need it, clearly needs significant improvement.
I would love to speak with someone, so please feel free to reach out at anytime.
Yours truly,
Very perturbed guest, ShelleyRL

Hidden fees and rooms straight out of the 70's for $200/night
Reviewed 18 hours ago

This hotel is outdated! We stayed over Valentine's Day. We received an "upgraded room". The toilet wouldn't stop running, the bathroom door wouldn't stay closed and the paint had chipped from the door frame. Be aware the are no toothbrushes or combs in the washroom (I wouldn't mind if I was told ahead of time). Also be prepared to pay for parking on top of the room rates.

- A group of people were stuck in one of the elevators in the North tower.
- The decor in the rooms looks like it is straight out of the 70's.
- The cleaning staff tried to come in to clean our room one hour before check out time.

I have traveled quite a bit in the last ten years and this is by far the worst hotel I've stayed at in a very long time.

We were treated like royalty

We statyed in a Studio King room with a view of both Canadian and American falls. The room was very comfortable and tastefully appointed. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel's Brasa restaurant and foubnd the food and service to be top notch.

A great getaway

First of all, we are locals living across the river in Lewiston, NY. This was our 3rd experience and again, we were more than pleased. Even though they are undergoing a big reno, it did not detract at all. All staff were pleasant and helpful. The room had a great view of the falls. The condition of the room was a testament to a company that works hard on upkeep so it looked great. We ate 2 nights at the Watermark, which was accessibley upscale and not stuffy. The breakfast buffet was fresh and varied. We will be back!!

Family Vacation with 4 'kids'
Reviewed 2 days ago

Me and my husband brought 4 of our 5 children and we stayed in the Two-Bedroom Deluxe Suite Premium Canadian/US Fallsview. We stay in this room because our family actually fits in one suite...thus saving us money. My husband and I get some privacy away from the kids and the view is pretty spectacular!

This trip we were on the 52nd floor - ROOM 5053 - one room from the south end of the North Tower. Our family had mixed reviews of this floor because of the banister outside the window. Some of us thought that it looked pretty. My daughter said that it looked 'romantic.' The rest of us thought that it blocked the view slightly when sitting on the sofa or the bed. I agree with both opinions. It made for great photos - but did interfere slightly with the view. The Fallsview Casino also ALMOST blocked the view of the Canadian Falls.

The last trip we were on the 43rd floor - south end unit in the North Tower. Only one room over - but the casino didn't block the view at all. And although it wasn't as high up....the view was just as spectacular.

Next time I would request a suite in the North Tower - a south end unit (so the casino doesn't block the view and you get windows on 2 sides) - highest floor possible.

Staff were great. I asked for the highest floor available - and I got it. The valet guys are great....although valet is super expensive.

We didn't go over to the Radison to use the pool. We missed the pool at the Hilton. It was a great pool area. Not sure what their plans are for the pool....but renovations have been going on a really long time.

We had fun accessing the Fallsview Casino Resort from our hotel. It was fun to walk over the street in the HOT tunnel and explore the little shops and restaurants on the other side.

Overall we had a great time.

The only negative was the heating and cooling system in the room. It was hard to keep both sections of the suite at the same temperature. We had to turn down the heat really low in order to keep the bedroom at the entrance comfortable to sleep....which made the room facing the falls quite chilly.
