I was pleasantly surprised with the Ambassador. This is a Marriott Autograph hotel with great architectural appeal. The decorating is classy and the beds are really comfortable. The area is nice to walk or jog around. Super safe, no homeless people. There is a great breakfast place next door called Waffle Champion and a few good restaurants near by like Stella. There is also a great pub across the street that has all the local brews on tap it's called James McNellies. The rooftop bar at the Hotel is a nice spot too!
Whether in town for business or pleasure, solo or group, confidently recommend the Ambassador. Traveling with family (wife, son 14, and our little Shih Tzu-terrier Lucy) we were in town for a few days with an event in Tulsa and the OU Sooner season opener in Norman. Wanting something central in OKC, we looked at several hotels before selecting the Ambassador. It’s a comfortable, welcoming well-appointed boutique hotel...modern luxury, updated amenities nicely fit in a classic twenties art-deco frame. We were fortunate to have reserved the Ambassador suite, which turned out to be more than worth it. The largest suite, fit with a bar/sink, living area off the master, a powder room, multiple smart TV’s, Amazon Echo, eight windows facing three directions, we had plenty of space; never felt congested or inconvenienced. From the moment you pull up and take it in you get a good vibe. You’re welcomed by a great staff, including Bryce & Alessandro at valet, James & Leanna in Guest Services, Lindsay at Cuveé, Jason behind the scenes in operations, and an underrated aspect, professional & pleasant housekeeping. It all works for a home away from home feel. The Ambassador Hotel was as advertised 4.5/5 stars, 4.7 of 5 by reviews. While the fitness center could be better equipped or more convenient, more going on around the pool, all things considered still rate 5.
...great Midtown location, comfortable luxurious boutique property, updated amenities, cool rooftop bar, excellent views and a great staff!
