How to Get There
Stayed here with my wife on a date night. We spg owners and we’re happy to get this deal in Priceline. The valet parking is steep, $40 a night? I’m in New Orleans now at the Four Points and it’s only $30. Our room was nice. Needs more signs for McCormicks. Most importantly the bartender was awesome and made great drinks! We will stay here again.
I’m here on a business trip. The cost of the room is around $420 per night, which I think is just exorbitant. But that’s particularly for the quality of the hotel. Everything looks pretty beat up — dings and scratches on the doors of the elevator, lobby looks dated. The iron in my room was broken, there’s an unbelievable charge of $10 per day for the internet (I haven’t paid for internet at a hotel in literally years), and right beside my bed is an extension cord with outlets. Quite stylish (not). If this were a cheaper motel, it would be okay, but for the price, I expect something less dumpy. The check-in experience was pleasant, and they did bring me a replacement iron pretty quickly.
On a humble and decided to stay downtown just to get away for me weekend and I'm glad I did. The room was perfect, perfect view of downtown Cincinnati fountain square, relaxing they took care of all of my needs and the bed was too die for will certainly be back. They even allowed me to have an extended late check-out.
The location of the hotel is great. Right next to everything downtown that you would want to go to.
But thats about it. First of all, the parking garage isnt not accommodating for a basic pickup truck. It's a spiral runnel that is extremely narrow. On top of that, it's about $20 a day, and that was not noted anywhere until after you park.
Next, no free wifi. What hotel doesnt have complimentary wifi? It's $10 a day here.
We get to our room at 7pm and there's a pile of dirty sheets in the corner and one of the beds is half made. There was used soap in the shower, and the room just looks like it was halfway put together. Also, one of the air ducts in the room was covered in mold.
Twice we had to call the front desk for something and they said they would send someone up to the room, and no one ever showed up.
I have stayed at the Westin Cincinnati numerous times, and it has always been my favorite place to stay when downtown Cincinnati. Unfortunately, on our stay on 12/31/18-1/1/19, we had a Vera Bradley wristlet with cash and gift cards stolen practically under our noses. We were leaving our room and headed down the elevator when my daughter remembered she had left her wallet laying on the bed. By the time she went straight back up to the room (less than 10 minutes), the room service girl "Joy" had already gone into the room and removed the room service tray - and the wallet was mysteriously no where to be found. Management reviewed the hall cameras and found nothing - because of course the cameras are going to show the small wallet very well hidden on this woman. If you stay here, better lock up your belongings because their room service girl Joy is a thief and a liar.
