How to Get There
I’ve stayed here 3 times in the last year and each visit gets worse and worse.
The hallways and rooms are really starting to show wear. Housekeeping is sloppy. Walls are thin and noise complaints are disregarded.
It’s in a great location but something needs to change to get this hotel back on track.
The hotel was clean, people were very friendly and nice and the view of the city was awesome. We hardly recommend this place. Everything is nearby. Walk and go to the river and see the city was nice because it's beautiful during the day and awesome at night.
Had to ask for room cleaning service. Asked for two luggage stands for room. Promised to send but never arrived. Other than reception staff, workers in general sullen. Did not replace used shampoo containers with new.
The hotel and room itself was as expected for a Westin: clean and comfortable, relatively updated. Two double instead of queen beds is not the norm in most hotels, so we felt cramped. The biggest issue was the noise level: bands every night on Fountain Square till 10pm (weeknight) or 11pm weekends. The music and bass was too loud to drown out with a white noise machine, which meant our 6 year old was a tired mess till the music ended each night. I know the hotel does not control these concerts, but it would have been nice to have been informed at check in or better yet to have been given a choice when they saw we had a young child.
Also, when electing ‘no room service’ as an option, it would be nice to be given meal vouchers each day instead of having to ask the front desk. Maybe have the cleaning staff carry them and leave them under the door if the tag is out?
There is a significant homeless population downtown, but the key card is required for elevators and rest rooms. My mother was approached for money during her breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel, which is not something we’ve had happen in any of the major cities we’ve visited before.
Great location walking distance from most restaurants and attractions. Only con of my stay was the lack of amenities in the hotel and in my hotel suite bathroom was outdated compared to most. Also some of the food prices in room service and even the ingredients cafe can be pricey and also room service is $ 5.00 fee plus 18%
