How to Get There
Came in the off season so didn't partake of some facilities but it was very pleasant. The Inn is 'vintage' in that they use keys for the rooms and the decor. Was able to travel with my Boston Terriers and our room was very comfortable. The staff was attentive and room service was quick.
The Inn at Glenmoor is part of a gated community so expect to feel as though you have taken a wrong turn before you actually find it!
Built in the 1930's as a Catholic seminary, the Inn retains a great deal of its Gothic appearance. The architecture is beautiful, but it adds to a certain creepiness factor overall. We arrived for our stay in the evening and were greeted by a friendly but somewhat off-putting overnight desk clerk who told us about her supernatural experiences both while working at the Inn and elsewhere in her life. No harm done as we (myself and my kids) are not bothered by such things.. but had we been....
The room was outstanding in its size and comfort. The Old World feel was found everywhere and we were treated very well throughout our stay. Despite all of this, we felt as though something was just "off".. as if the Inn was not meant for the general public. For an indescribable reason the whole experience was just odd..
Obviously not a very busy Inn, but nice place to rest after
A long day of loading a truck to move. So we need a place to rest before going on our journey to a new state.
The room was very clean, but could be updated in decor to this century.
The bed was great, but the morning “shower” was lacking. It didn’t work.
I’d return, but would hope they have their maintenance department check all rooms for working plumbing.
My sister and I were looking for a Spa-Inn to take our mother for a Spa weekend to celebrate Mother's day and her birthday. Came across Bertram based on reviews and liked the photos of the Inn and golf course. We were able to book a room and make spa arrangements within 48 hrs of our stay. Before arriving at the Inn, driving thru the area there is a very nice mall and residential area within 10 minutes. As we entered the gated entry, the winding road leads to lush grounds and ponds that were beautifully maintained, with mature trees and flowers. Checking in was easy, our room was a double queen, very large with huge oversize windows with view of the front pond that offered a frig and coffee maker. Very quiet, clean, comfortable, but could use some updating as it screams 1990. The ladies at the Inn and spa welcomed us and couldn't have been any nicer with suggestions including lunch there at the Spa, which was yummy and even brought a Happy Birthday slice of cheesecake for our mom. We were told to check out the winery and Hartville, which we did and went back! My sister and I are already talking about coming back with our husbands to explore more of the Inn/ Spa / Country club. The pool also looked very inviting.
I stayed 2 nights at the Bertram Inn for a solo weekend getaway. My room (the signature King) was comfortable and enjoyable. Not super spacious but, being by myself, it was fine. I had dinner at the Loch Bar on my first night and it was spectacular! The staff was super friendly and helpful and my meal was delicious. I spent most of the next day at the Spa, getting both a manicure and a hot stone massage. The spa is one of the nicest I've been to! The ladies were friendly and hospitable, my complimentary mimosa was delicious, and the services turned out great! Very relaxing massage and the steam room and whirlpool were nice to enjoy in between and after my appointments. I had the in-room breakfast the following morning and it was very yummy. It wasn't as hot as I would have liked, but was delivered on time and presented nicely. Overall, the stay was very relaxing and enjoyable! I would recommend the Bertram Inn for a weekend getaway, especially solo!
