How to Get There
We are half way through our stay, and we have had mixed success thus far. For instance, when we arrived at our appointed time, housekeeping was not ready for us to move in. Not sure if it was a result of timing or not, but one if three stools wouldn’t flush, and the dishwasher turned on at 11:00 pm and ran all night. One of our balcony neighbors has a drone that sits outside our 8th floor balcony at least once per day. Love the drone, but not the intrusion.
On the positive side, we love the view to the ocean and the accommodations. This is our third time renting from the same condo owner, and the unfortunate problems were a surprise—they were repaired after the day we reported. Haven’t yet asked about the drone.
There are five of us including our oldest daughter from Colorado, us from AZ and a French couple from Lyon. Everyone is having a good time and we think of the problems as an unfortunate fluke; certainly not enough to think of avoiding this spot in the future. Aloha, my friends.
5 of us stayed in a 3 bedroom condo for a week. Each bedroom had it’s own bathroom . The open concept living room, kitchen, dining area led straight out to the outside sitting area that had a magnificent view of the ocean. The pool area of the complex was well cared for and just outside was a lagoon with a great sand beach for more swimming options. The location only a half hour from Honolulu makes it accessible to the whole Island. There is a poolside bar on site with lots of dinning options within walking distance. A short drive take you to Walmart,Costco ,Safeway and other shopping and eating options.
Booked a third floor villa with view over the lagoon and was delighted by the quieter location. The resort of Ko Olina gave us access to hotel restaurants we could walk to, with Mina’s Fish House at the Four Seasons being the outstanding find. Great facilities in the Villa, with a great good course on the resort, but still within a short drive to access all the joys of Oahu. Absolutely loved staying here

We will come back here! You should give this location a try.
This is a very nice property. The location right at the beach is really good and the unit has everything you need. The beach and lagoon is extremely nice and we spent a lot of time there. Also the pool area is excellent and there are multiple pools and they even have a beach in one part of the pool. We didn’t spend any time in the lap pool as we stayed with our daughter and it’s supposed to be quiet in that pool area.
Our two bedroom apartment was very good and offered all that we would ever need. Everything was fresh and clean and the bathrooms were spacious. Also the kitchen was spacious and we used it to cook some food and there are four large bbq’s in the pool area which we also used.
One thing bringing the grade down is that you need to do some driving every time you want to do something else than hanging out at the beach or in the beautiful pool area. The other thing is that there are many rules and regulations to follow which create a very strict atmosphere at the resort. I understand that there has to be rules but it was a bit too much sometimes.
They offer indoor parking so you don’t need to worry about anything happening to your rental car. The gym was excellent and we took the opportunity to visit more than planned because it was so well equipped.
All in all we had an excellent stay and enjoyed our week at Ko Olina.
