As a tropical getaway, Bali sits at the top of the list, and it’s easy to see why. The island of a thousand temples is rich in culture, pristine beaches, historical temples, mystical forests and mountains with hidden waterfalls and natural, healing springs peppered throughout its lush landscapes. It also helps that luxury resorts of all sorts have sprung up to met the need of every traveller.
For the discerning wanderer looking to enjoy the best of Bali without having to wade through the crowds of Seminyak, Park Hotel Nusa Dua was made for you. The hilltop sanctuary sits serenely above it all, boasting tranquil views of Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua Beach and several hills and mountains, far off in the distance. The simple, elegant resort provides a rejuvenating stay in one of their chic suites or pool villas. Survey the island’s beauty from your vantage point in the resort’s infinity pool, sunbathe on lounge chairs by the deck and if you must, take the complimentary shuttles out to explore the surrounding areas. Golf enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the Bali National Golf Club is just a 13-minute drive away.
How to Get There
The Park Hotel Nusa Dua is a hidden gem, high on the hill, with 360 degree views. From the roof top restaurant you overlook Nusa Dua, Benoa Harbour, the Airport and up the coast to Kuta.
I highly recommend staying in one of the private villas. We based ourselves in a two bed villa, from where we explored Nusa Dua, Seminyak, Legian, Kuta and up the East coast of Bali. After the hustle and bustle of Bali, it, was such a treat to come back to our own villa and cool down in our private pool.
The 2 Bedroom Villa is well laid out and equipped with all that you will need. Quite luxurious. Very comfortable beds. Cool air conditions and good wifi.
The Rooftop restaurant is a great place to both start and finish your day. The breakfasts choices cover both Indo and Western foods.
At night we found the quality of the evening meals to be better than some of the more expensive restaurants in Bali Collective.
The staff at the Park Hotel are very professional, friendly and attentive. All of the staff deserve mentioning, as they all
Made us feel very important and welcome. Special mention to Sedana. Sedana ensured that we felt very welcome, greeting us each morning by name.
The Hotel location, high on the hill, means that most attractions are too far for walking. Taxis are readily available. It was only a 5 minute ride into Nusa Dua, with a metered fare of just under IDR40,000 or about USD$3.50
If you want to stay in a Private Villa at a Hotel close to Nusa Dua, I highly recommend The Park Hotel.
While you read this review, please keep in mind the goal of this particular trip to Bali, this was a quick trip only, 5 nights purely to spend by the pool relaxing in the sun.
Did we achieve this? Absolutely.
Firstly some perspective, we have previously stayed at this Hotel (although under another name) six years ago in 2012.
Be aware of the location, this may not be the place for you if you expect to be by the beach, it is necessary to use a taxi or free shuttle to get to the beach or the local shops.
The location gives a great view from either the restaurant or the roof top infinity pool.
We travelled on a deal (groupon) in potentially low season, occupancy was very low, this was good for us as there was no need to jostle with groups near the pool or restaurant, often we were the only people around the pools or even in the restaurant for dinner. This resulted in very friendly & personal service from all the staff.
With our late night departure flight, this also meant we could have a late night checkout no problem.
Overall we had a great time, and would stay here again.
There are some areas of the hotel that could do with some maintenace & upgrade but in my experience this is typical in almost any hotel in Bali.
We did experience an earthquake (5.2) on our first night, but at no stage did we feel unsafe in the building or grounds.
I would like to thank Yoga from the restaurant for making our stay memorable, any food & beverage manager would love to have this guy working for them, he has an eye for detail and is obviously proud to deliver good service with a smile.
Great staff also include Juni, Agus & Srikhandi.
Hotel room is comfortable and spacious enough yet lack of maintenance, furniture is quite old so we think it will be better if management put attention to refurbish them.Overall our family enjoyed the stay, however the breakfast was awful. Not much options and menu lacks of quality. Not worth the money.
We stayed in a 3 bedroom at Park Hotel Nusa Dua in Bali from the 6-13 October. We were collected by the hotel driver Puthu from the airport wow what a wonderful soul. The hotel not so bad just in need of a little clean up, the lobby sofas are dirty and when they clean the rooms they don’t mop the floors, just sweep. Just love the rooftop infinity swimming pool.
An old hotel and need more maintenance or renovationSofa, bed, towels are not really clean / smells goodSo far the room is so big and comfortable to take a rest because the location so private, very good price for family gathering
